Princess Diana's death. It was the UK Government's doing.
9-11. I can't guess at the political reasons, but the way the towers fell has not been explained to my satisfaction, other than by the use of demolition explosives.
The media control public opinion.(not mine, obviously)

The twin towers construction methods meant they were bound to collapse.
No concrete centre core meant that the weight above was too great for it to hold up.
All the calcs since then have backed this up.

Moon landings for me. I realise that I am probably in the tiny minority here, but the fact that we still find it incredibly technically challenging to achieve low earth orbit means that my belief that we supported three human lives on a journey 2000 times longer and landed on the moon 50 years ago is well founded. That's in my opinion only of course!

There were huge fiscal and human resources put into the moon landings.

Mythbusters did a good show on this.

Besides all the other problems in faking this.....the videotape technology of the late 1960s was not up to the job of making a fake moon landing.

This stuff was sent out 'live' on television, Back in 1969 there was not any video tape that could have recorded unbroken for long enough to create a fake version of the live broadcast of the mission from the lunar surface.

The live broadcast of the original moon landing was the most watched in history lasted around two and a half hours straight, with no gaps.

So for it to be 'faked' they would have had to fake it 'live'.....and if you're faking it, you'd not going to risk that.

I've never believed that this conspiracy stood up to examination....Most don't. However, it's never wrong to question and probe.

Their technology wasn't up to making a video tape for 150 minutes?, yet they could preserve human life in the vacuum of space on a four day, half a million mile journey? This is why I really struggle to believe the moon landings were real.

Thanks for your reply by the way, gives your opinion and reasoned answer without automatically totally denouncing any contrarian view. rare these days!!

No worries.....the day we can't question isn't a day I'd approve of.

To give some thoughts on what you raise we can preserve life in submarines for far longer than we can in space and of course we have come close to losing life in space....including on those moon missions.

Regarding the video tape. I'd say that different technologies advance at different rates....usually dependent upon the amount of investment into them.....For example, look at how slowly battery technology has advanced until mobile phone companies and Musk took an interest.....and even then it's very incremental.

However, I could of course be wrong. It's highly likely that most of us hold some ideas that are factually incorrect.

David Icke thinks the moon is hollow don't you know.....hollow.....like we are being orbited by some giant ping pong ball.

I wouldn't say I believe it as such......but I've always found the....'is Prince Charles Harry's father' conspiracy theory rather fun.

Regarding the moon landings, they lost all information and data to be able to recreate it... wow!

Also, haven't been able to go back since?

Also, scientists have come out and said we cannot travel past the Van Allen belt, it's too toxic - why when we have already done it?

Also, why was Stanley Kubrick hired to recreate what he felt the moon would look like and have it filmed, purely for training purposes.

I think, personally, the evidence is readily available for any rational, free thinking individual to come tot he conclusion it is far easier to fake it than to make it, which lends to the idea it never happened.

There was a race with the Russians to get there first - why not combine? Go back in joint efforts?

But, it's ok for people to have different opinions - even if they do appear wrong.

Not sure that is correct. I saw an interview with Dr Van Allen and he was asked that question. His response was that if you stayed in the Van Allen belt for 2 weeks it would do you harm but a rocket passes through the belt in a matter of seconds so in his oponion no danger at all.

Yep and the strength and width of the belts vary, which is also taken into account when humans have to cross them.
