Reports in various sources now anticipating all football including Premier League will soon go to " behind closed doors ".
The report states ST and match ticket holders " will be able to follow matches by live stream at home but 3pm broadcasting blackout will not be lifted "

Make of that what you will

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Best advantage is Liverpool’s title celebrations will be ruined.

Stupid cvnt’s will turn up en masse outside anfield and spread their germs whether Coronavirus or just disgusting tramps.

Why not! If you have a ticket should be able to watch it. Is this a sky directive?

My understanding (Which of course could be awry), is that matches on Saturday are not allowed to be broadcast 'Live' between certain hours because of the effect this could have on attendances at other games and I think this is a directive from the FA and Leagues rather than SKY.

I haven't seen those reports and in fact the medical expert on Radio 5 this morning said that it was safer to go to a football match than it was to crowd into a pub to watch it as the virus doesn't travel as well outside

But there will be no attendances anywhere!

I’d think this will be the last round of fixtures without special measures - delay phase is being brought in this week which includes options for social restrictions, primarily large gatherings.

If not after this weekend certainly after next. We’re two weeks behind and the J curve is only just starting to pick up.

It’s coming

I was just trying to explain why the directive is currently in place.
IF the situation evolves into a "Behind closed doors" scenario then of course there will be no negative affect on attendances!
I really don't know if the "Blackout" will still apply and perhaps any comment that it WILL might be pure speculation.

Taken from a 'leaked' document that the Telegragh' got hold of. Reported on BBC sports news today

Exactly, although getting on crowded trains to and from the match (potentially) isn't very good for your health.

Although I will miss going to matches, I do feel for the clubs in the lower leagues who rely on the income much more than we do.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

There's a deal to be done with the broadcasters if they are allowed to sell subscriptions to individual games. Complex, as season ticket holders should/would get a free pass, but everyone else could pay, then all the clubs share the proceeds which would go some way to covering their lost income from gate receipts.

Surely someone clever should be able to come up with something viable.

Playing the matches behind closed doors seems totally wrong to me because that arrangement is associated with punishment (e.g. Croatia v England in the Nations Cup etc.)
Also, given the postponement of the Citeh v Arsenal match, how long before other games are postponed because other players have to self-isolate?
It seems to me that sooner or later we may need to go the Italy route and simply postpone several rounds of matches and then when will the season end? (I believe Serie A, Ligue 1, Bundesliga and La Liga are today asking for the 2020 Euros to be postponed for a year - will be interesting to see what happens and what happens to those countries domestic leagues).
We are certainly living in interesting times.
