Just bought my tickets for this!! Can’t wait!! Should definitely quell in any initial home sickness after moving down under.

Will pre-season in Australia even happen given:
1. Coronavirus
2. Possibility of a place in the Europa League and a very early start to the new season?

Can't see this going ahead now due to the travel clamp down by the authorities.

It's only 17 weeks away, too little time, given what's happening with this virus

But when will the season be over? With players now having to self-isolate and matches being postponed, whole rounds of matches may be postponed so the season may well extend into June, or even later.
Italy have stopped all matches for 3 weeks and who knows whether or not that will be the extent of their delay, especially given that a Serie A player has gone down with the virus.
Lates
t thinking re the virus seems to suggest it won't peak until May.

It will only end when a vaccine is discovered and that will hopefully be about a year, do not plan anything until it has been done, people with poor immune systems problems with hearts and lungs are at risk of catching this virus until a vaccine is found, at the moment they believe about one in five will not survive, young fit and well are able mostly to feel nothing and wonder whet the fuss is all about.

Italy will have to end their seasons completely the same as us, one player becomes ill and then the whole squad will have to isolate along with all their families and friends (anyone been in contact with) this will happen to more then one club and then it's total chaos, fit young people will be OK, but everyone will know someone who is not fit and young ..mostly any one with a heart or lung problem because these people are in the firing line literally.

The season will either stop now, or have a break for a month - if so, pre season will be changed and I can't see oz happening.. also - with the greatest of respects... why travel to and from oz and deal with jet lag... it's marketing, I get it... but, surely not worth it.

“ 1 in 5 is nonsense”

Correct. It is also wrong to suggest that it will remain a threat until a vaccine is developed. My understanding is that the virus is likely to burn itself out before then as it runs out of fresh hosts. So the critical period will be determined by the effectiveness of the ‘delay stage’ which we are now in. If that delay works as intended then pre-season could well be affected.
