The arguments are all there, you just have to find them and read them to understand. The reason we ended up with an 80 seat Tory majority, and a Brexit of the type we are stumbling towards, was down to a great number of different factors. The 2016 referendum and the 2019 GE were obviously the start and ending scenes of a long play with many characters and several acts. Interference in the referendum campaign by Russian bots working the social media platforms, aided and abetted by Farage and Cambridge Analytica was one. Cameron resigning another. May foolishly going to the country yet another. A Labour leader who did not want a second referendum and failed to stand aside when it was possible to install a national government prepared to go back to the people, probably the most defining one.

That ought to be enough for you to realise that it has nothing to do with not being able to accept a "defeat". No-one was defeated. I can see what happened and why it did.
