I am as anti BBC as the next man when it's justified but you are talking about a very poignant image that was used to portray the dangers the migrants faced in fleeing their country which is exactly what the remit of BBC news is supposed to be

I somehow doubt the BBC will ever screen footage of the victims of the rape epidemic ( white European women) that has followed all these men from the Middle East ?

Most of these invaders (the vast majority in fact) are fighting age men. Do you ever see that reflected on the BBC or anywhere in mainstream media?

It was portrayed as being a result of him drowning during his crossing. Their desperation and the fact they were willing to put their children's lives at risk to get to Europe, as their countries were so bad, was part of the propaganda, and this was the biggest piece of said propaganda. They must have (or should have if they'd done their job of being a journalist properly) known back then that he didn't die from randomly falling off of a boat, but they failed to disclose this information.

You're are right.

This child was under no threat of death in Turkey......He was sodding 2 years old. All children who were taken on these journeys have been treated like chattel.

His death was used as propaganda by leftist low-lifes.

Lots of British men died for their country in WWII.

And 5 minutes later the borders were opened up to single men from all the World. As celebrated by the BBC who often screen footage of these men arriving off ships as some kind of a triumph.

The dead men never got a vote on that particular question.

"Went the day well" classic British wartime propaganda movie about villagers fighting back against the invading Nazis.

Grave digger "The Germans wanted our land" glances down to a grave "well this is the only bit they got"

I love that film. The Manor House is the heart of resistance, I believe. Just to make sure everyone still knows their place.
Better than The Eagle has Landed which the Donald Sutherland storyline ruins.

There was an exchange in In Which we Serve between Captain Noel Coward and a fellow officer. Something like.

- What a fine sunset No. 1
- Yes sir, reminds me of a calendar my wife gave me last Christmas
- Did it have a flight if Dorniers in the top left hand corner?
- No, sir.
- That is where fiction parts with reality.
