Also Kevin Philips, 2013. Murray probably scored one that season too

This was a mid week game, we had beaten Brighton 5-0 the previous Saturday with a hattrick from AJ. The next match after the Walsall game was away to Ipswich, AJ went into the game with a chance to be the first player for decades to score 3 consecutive hattricks, he did score early and looked like it might be on, but alas it never happened, but we did win 2-1

think we won 4-3 or 3-2

the guy who scored 2 early goals for walsall was called junior...i remember chants about him being a hermaphrodite...think it was 2 in 10 mins.

AJ scored van bastan esq volley that night...best goal ive ever seen live.

Amazing to think!

Checking the report on that it seems he tried to take the penalty that would've given him a fourth but Neil Danns jumped in and took it.

Joel Ward played for Pompey that night.
