You keep saying that while 99.99% and some of us who are healthy have nothing to fear would rather not destruct the country and economy. And if players don’t want to play, don’t, and don’t get paid either.

I did not realise your were ''Superman" must be great to be so perfect, let's hope this does not come back and grab you!

Simon jordan was on Newsnight and he’s said pretty much the same as me. He says they should get back in July. The problem he says is the players steadfast refused a pay cut but now might refuse to pay, ignoring the fact that sky etc will pull their contracts or sue prem clubs and sky etc effectively pay the players wages. The players cannot have it both ways. Jordan spoke sense as soon as this started and players refused on the pay cut. He came up with sensible suggestions like the players getting their money back if the clubs didn’t need or the games were played etc.

If they refuse to play then they refuse pay. That is the real world. Prem footballers are about to experience the real world for a change. Prem football is the one place where hygiene and safety an be at the highest level because it has to be to get the football played and they can afford it. If players have children with asthma or something then that’s fair enough but otherwise they’ll have to deal with the rules of safety that will be safe and do what they’re paid to do.

This is not the tinpot Scottish league with Hearts being relegated 4 points below the drop with 8 games to play, meaning Hamilton stay up. This is the English prem where relegation costs £100mil before you factor in the squad problems in the championship even with parachute payments. The legal costs could be huge, and with 3 teams.

And the stats on cases and deaths are facts. You’re more likely to get hit by lightning or die in a plane crash unless you’re in vulnerable health or age group. So your hysterical nonsense you can use to keep everyone you know personally stuck inside. I expect you’re happy for the country to be bankrupt and starving by the time we have a vaccine in 2024 or 2035. I expect the deaths from economic suicide don’t register in your hysterical stir indoors.

If that’s your only reply, and to facts, then it says more about you. Clearly you’re so brainwashed you can’t make an opinion of your own.

Your hysterical whining when nearly everyone at risk can be shielded is pure drivel, with nothing more to say than anyone could be the 0.001% or whatever it is. All those young and fit petrified people can stay inside telling the rest of us we should be destroying the country also.

What’s the problem? Everyone not going to have a miserable time and going to make the best of it?

Attack the contents of the post. Not the implied personally traits of the poster.

Attacking the poster is the BBS way, and it is full of false-hoods and imbeciles.

When does everyone think we will be able to return to Selhurst? To see the mighty eagles.

I’d be surprised if it’s this side of Christmas but hope I’m proved wrong.

Although, they may start with something like season ticket holders only and spaced apart from fellow non family season ticket holders throughout the whole stadium.

We have something like 16,000 season ticket holders and the social distancing getting to and from seats becomes impossible to Marshall, although social distancing could be over later this year. It could then be gatherings of only over so many. I expect there are still issues over people clustering together in parts of the stadium. Food and drink might be banned.

The one positive is our season was sort of done and dusted anyway.

They could insist on masks I guess, although I can see that being hard to police. I think we’ll be back in sooner because the political drive is to get back to ‘normal’ as soon as possible regardless of overall safety.

Yes I’ve just posted an interview in the virus thread that shows how a lockdown, or restrictions for people below 45, and in most cases under 60, is counter intuitive.

The battle the government faces is undoing the fear and the lack of knowledge, or desire to learn it, out there. But I’m not surprised there.

May not be until next year. It really depends upon the trajectory of infections as lockdown is gradually relaxed. If the rate starts to climb again, and no vaccine is available, then we won't be making our way to SE25 for our football for a long while yet.
