How the hell can we trust this government

Developments are dodgy shocker.

Walter Mitty and the BBC get more desperate every week.

Let's not talk about all the legendarily substandard housing built under Wilson's Labour governments or the vote rigging that goes on every time there are objections to new housing developments.

I thought we had a housing shortage or is that just more hype. 1500 homes is great I would think. Yes I get the point but getting roofs over peoples heads is important. Now those potential properties ain't being built because the councillors seem bias was involved. Red or blue this isnt a good decision imho.

I suggest you re-read the article.

Not much affordable housing. 79% of the massive build was simply investment vehicles for overseas buyers which was also going to blight the skyline around Tower Bridge. One of the objections was the way it used up locally designated open space.

Ah, the good old days!

It really feels like you’d defend conservatives no matter what. If you keep banging the same drum regardless, it will turn most people off eventually.

Left does bad, right does bad, middle does bad. It’s ok to admit it now & then.

I did and it would still be 21% social housing that's over 300 families. Where is that land to get them on. Ironically the council would also be reaping a vast sum on council tax and maybe a deal to rent the property back for a time at a discount if it was bought by investors.no foresight at all.
Someone is always going to bin a chunk in whatever way. They could have spoken to the dude and he may have been willing to reinvest in the surrounding area like a park or some shops or something. Doing this is just looking like spite and has taken 300 social properties off the list. Absolutely shocking how politics has done this. I wouldn't care if corbyn made the dough ffs, normal people who you claim to suffer everyday exactly for a lack of housing are affected and are being punished here.

I was unaware that you decided how people debate.

Is this another one of your imaginary jobs?

Bottom line is that you and the BBC are a bit desperate.

I think that is a case of equal and opposite reactions.

All the time the media keep misrepresenting facts and desperately trying to find stuff to attack the government with and it is parrotted on here by the same half a dozen people, I will defend them in equal measure.
As and when they do anything that is worthy of criticism, I will criticise them.

Can you name something the conservatives done recently that was worthy of criticism?

Yes. Teresa May calling an election and then having the worst campaign ever.

Pandering too much to identity politics.

Not clamping down on media bias.

University fees.

Smart motorways.

Nothing about all the deaths going on right now?

Is that their fault. How would you have played it. I think an unknown situation will always have an unknown outcome. 20k men died a hundred years ago on the first day of the somme. The people in charge saw it as a failure but carried on and won the war. Tactics changed as have they during this pandemic.no doubt you would have held your hands up and become german. Please dont give me the old care home jobby as they are minted and should have their own procedure instead of passing the buck. The government dont actually want people to die and put finance in place costing billions and billions do you think they do?
