Did he? I thought he spoke about walking past people on the streets.

Tell us more. And Kings Cross?

Nope he clearly said 10 years ago you didnt have people sleeping on the streets. Not sure what you heard.

Kings Cross at the time was more known for drunks, junkies and hot sheet hotels. It’s changed a lot in the last thirty years.

I don't have the stats but I clearly remember homelessness exploding in the early 90s recession. You used to get homeless beggars in the west end but not the suburbs, but it changed around then and has been a part of the landscape since. Starmer was doing a bit of disingenuous brain washing there, linking it solely to tory austerity ... 'didn't have it so much ten years ago would have been more accurate.

That is also what I heard. What I did not hear was him talking about homelessness stats.

The stats for sleeping on the streets have rocketed as I pointed out. And people are sleeping in shop fronts etc far more now. Ten years ago it was more limited to areas such as Waterloo which has been mentioned.

The desperation of some people to discredit Starmer is most interesting. He is feared in a way Corbyn wasn't. Better get ready for some big changes in four years' time.

Of course I have, used to walk through it on the way to work. I am more interested in your personal experiences with some of the characters. Which is why I mentioned Kings Cross, plenty of interesting young ladies there in the past.

FFS. He wasn't talking about homelessness unless I have missed something.

I wish you would 'comment on the facts of what he said'. It would make this discussion go more smoothly. If he said there were no homeless before 2010 please show me where.
