So hes the real reason for the riots and bashing people up. Clearly has more power than Gandalf the grey.

I thought this was a discussion about Cummings and not BLM

Well it is yes but certain tv hosts will give the impression that it's ok to congregate in groups because Cummings did what he did. This lot are clearly congregating in large groups with no social distancing. The state are even supplying hand sanitizer how ever laughable that may seem.

There is a distinction between what Cummings did and what a lot of the protestors are doing though.

Whether you think his use of the exemptions to “access critical public services, including childcare” was right or wrong in the circumstances, this does not affect the fact that at no point did he risk infecting anyone else. He outlined the full social distancing and hygiene measures that were undertaken throughout the trip to and from Durham and during his time up there (including the trip by ambulance for his child to hospital). This aspect has not been questioned by the media and as a consequence it seems they accept that at no point did he expose anyone else to any risk of infection whatsoever.

The same cannot be said of demonstrators stood shoulder to shoulder shouting and chanting and spraying spittle over others as they do so. Many were wearing face masks granted but thousands weren’t and even of those wearing face coverings, I saw many on the various live news feeds with them pulled away from their nose and mouth whilst they spoke to others or engaged in the chanting.

I am not agreeing or disagreeing with what Cummings did, merely pointing out the huge distinction between the two scenarios in terms of risk and exposure to infection.

100% factually correct. However we do not base our behaviour on protestors actions, we base them on the instructions of senior government representatives and they don’t get much higher up the food chain than him. Utterly irresponsible what he did and for him to think otherwise makes the wise person question the point of listening to any government advice. That is the crux of why he should go.

All swept under the carpet by now however as we’ve lurched into our next crisis in racism.

I wonder if the puppet media can go for a hat trick of pot-stirring that is not in the public interest this month.

What do we predict next?

Forget Johnson, Cummins rules ok?

Today's resignation of the countries top civil servant.

So are we going to be ruled by the Mekon, or maybe we are already.

But no single person, or government matters.

A tiny blob of a virus rules the World......

The Croydon BLM rally involved strong social distancing. Definitely more than 2 metres. Surgical masks were handed out at the gates to Park Hill. And there was strong exhortation for everyone to go home calmly and without incident

Hard to understand why so many here feel so strongly about a movement that tries hard to do the right thing.

Maybe if all of their rally’s were like that then there wouldn’t be an issue?

No statues torn down, tick
No rioting or fighting, tick
No injured police officers, tick

How refreshing.

This really is a big one. Civil servants starting to lose their independence from Government. Moving towards the US model. And there is no doubt it was The Mekon. Rutnam and Sedwill. Wonder who will be next

We’ll probably end up with a bunch of schoolchildren at the top of the civil service, same as the Government.
