Some posters on here really need to study history more closely when it comes to slavery and not just be selective when it comes to their argument. There have been many eloquent posts on this thread outlining the prevalence of slavery against all colours over hundreds of years. It was how the modern world developed and there were always winners and there were always losers. There are still slaves in the modern world in numerous countries but I don’t see people banging on about this. This country’s people regardless of where they sit on the debate need to gain a bit of perspective and understand that the UK in many ways is far ahead of other civilised countries when it comes to diversity. We do not have America’s problem and yet you read some of the bitter vitriol spouted in the press and from BLM groups and you would think we are world leaders in racism.

There are still slaves in the modern world in numerous countries but I don’t see people banging on about this. This country’s people regardless of where they sit on the debate need to gain a bit of perspective and understand that the UK in many ways is far ahead of other civilised countries when it comes to diversity. We do not have America’s problem and yet you read some of the bitter vitriol spouted in the press and from BLM groups and you would think we are world leaders in racism.

Will this event be cancelled or boycotted by black players ? It has been articulated that modern day 'Slavery' exists in relation to the migrant workers involved in the construction of stadiums for the Qatar World Cup.
Will this event be cancelled or boycotted by black players ?

I believe HOL has been given an insight into my thinking and my disdain for the 'Left' and the BLM movement.My 'Soapbox' has been very much in evidence outside HOL and as sure as night follows day this will continue.
I will concentrate my efforts on the non-political threads.
