Zionism is Israeli nationalism.....without it you wouldn't and couldn't have a state of Israel.

Anti Semitism is a basic rejection or dislike of all Jews.

At least that's my understanding of the two terms.

People with agendas try to...well it appears successfully call all criticism of anything Israeli 'anti semitic'.

Now I'm not anti semitic and I'm not anti zionist.... though I agree that this position is open to criticism and maybe that's a good thing.

However, I am very critical of Jewish non western activism, which always seems to be against whatever I'm for.

That said, I think I understand how someone could be anti zionist but not anti semitic.....Even though some Jewish activist groups pretend that's not possible

If someone is anti zionist, they are saying they are against nationalism and hence that means in most cases they are against right wing or nationalist Jews.

It's easy to see how that could look like basic anti semetism....and hey, perhaps with some it is.

But it's important to be fair and to recognise that many who are anti zionist won't be against Jews who are left wing or perhaps non nationalist Jews. Indeed, we saw that Corbyn had his enthusiastic Jewish supporters within Labour.

So, I think anyone interested in being fair should recognise the nuance.

Though obviously like all 'antis', where the dividing line exists is often down to the viewer, who will have their own biases on it.

My opinion still stands. Maxine Peake doubtless said what she said because the political apparatus of Israel is anathema to the far left. It was crappy, thoughtless and ill-informed. But it stands as a loopy opinion like believing in a flat earth.
Of course you could argue she said it because it fitted with an anti-Semitic agenda. But how you do prove that? Because you are doing the same as the SJWs by assuming an opinion because of a phrase or throwaway comment.

I think what people fail to realise the genocide that will happen against the Jewish population if Israel falls.
