Absolutely awful tonight fed up with it, look at how little he tries compared too Ayew tonight, Zaha is my favourite player of all time but had enough of him giving no effort would rather us play benteke atm

Obviously carrying an injury . Still carried more threat than Ayew /Townsend .
We missed Teckers .

And we still need a striker

I don't think he played bad, Burnley just marked him out of the game (with 3 players) and we struggle to attack without him. I preferred when he used to run in behind for through balls as opposed to dropping in but wouldn't we all get fed up of sprinting for Luka's poorly hit passes? Wilf's cross to Luka was better than any from the captain.

Jimmy Mac made our captain look amateur, Joel ward offered the type of crosses you get in a goalkeepers warm up and Andros cut inside and shot once before being replaced. Scott Dann and Cahill with a combined age of 68 were our best players.

People still making excuses for him.

He has been awful all season since throwing toys out the pram about not being able to leave.

If he was injured he wouldn't be playing the full 90min.

I wouldn’t say awful but I agree he has been poor

So would you say he has been carrying an injury all season then because he has been poor for the majority of it. Also we really didn’t miss Benteke at all

Certainly looked better / dangerous on the right when Townsend went off.

It was a filthy performance from the whole team.
From back to front rubbish and deserved what they got and to single out Zaha is wrong.

I had been thinking during the game that Hodgson should have got them to switch wings to give Burnley a different challenge but he stuck rigidly to the plan.

A mistake by Guaita for their goal.If Hennessey had made a similar 'Faux Pas' he would have been hung, drawn and quartered on here.

Possibly still carrying an injury. That or having one of his more temperamental days. He can be infuriating at times, but that's only because we all know how good he is at his best.

He might well have been still carrying an injury but in all honesty we haven't seen Zaha at his best for a while.

With a slow ponderous build-up when he does get the ball he is surrounded by players so it makes it difficult for him.
If we played with a higher tempo and not dropped behind the ball in 'Shape' this might greatly assist him.Furthermore an attacking left-back might well create space for him.

At present all Zaha does is get the ball, finds himself with opposition players around him and either just goes inside or passes it backwards and sidewards.

he has been playing at 50% all season - yesterday was no worse than usual.

Receiving the ball standing still is clearly not helping, makes it difficult to beat a defender and easier to double up on him.

However, his movement is woeful, very static and when we attack on the right he doesn't even try and get in the box.

Why doesn't he change wing occasionally too - only happens due to sub, should be happening during game?
Needs to get closer to Ayew too - poor bloke was so isolated yet again
