I'd be very suprised if we are 6 points better off by the end of the season.

But we will drop down anyway at this rate. Once Burnley scores we were always going to struggle so why not give them a run out. They are asking fans to support the academy but the manager isn’t even doing that

A little bit crystal ball, if he had played them and we lost the outcry would be as large because we have so much more to play for up the table, what still upsets me more then anything is the ball passing skills of quite a few of our players when having the time and space to easily find one of their teammates, I suppose it comes with the territory.

Lookin at the home and away table it is pretty clear where the problem lies. I was surprised to see us 13th at home, particularly as we have only scored 12 goals, 4 less than any other side. As far as I can see only Stevenage, who prop up the rest, have scored less than us at home in all the divisions !! COYP !!

We can't play like last night for the remaining 6 games or we'll get nothing out of them. Roy must stay proactive throughout and take every 90/95 mins seriously - last night he looked more like a spectator on the sideline. There are still 18 points to play for and we should aim to get at least 9 or 10.

Think we will now struggle to top 50 points this season based on our future opponents. Chelski, Spuds and ManUre will all be chasing points to secure Champs League spots. Both Leicester and Wolves tough opponents as well. All 5 above us. Villa we might eke out something.

That was fully evident in the first half.
Burnley passed the ball around us with and easy and crispness that we could only dream of. Everytime we got a sniff of the ball, within 3-4 touches Burnley had it back again, after either a bad first touch, bad movement and understanding between players, or simply a misplaced pass.
Disgraceful for 'experienced' players at this standard.

The odd thing is that ever since we have returned to the Premier League the quality of our passing and movement, and consequent ability to retain possession has been generally poor. Managers have come and gone, as have players, but that aspect of our game doesn't seem to change.

Our individual skill levels have definately got worse under Hodgson. His focus is entirely on shape and formation. Which is excellent. Unfortunealy, the individual skill, tactics, substitutions, motivation, and recruitment aren't up to scratch.

The age of the squad is also a time bomb. Roy recruited 4 players who played last night aged 28, 30, 33, and 34.

He's been at the club 3 years now. He's not shown any interest in bringing through players to get that number down. The recruitment policy must be down to him.

Burnley played almost exactly as we played against Bournemouth. Fairly obvious our season is over and the players fail to motivate themselves to play at the level required.
Can’t see the youngsters being played against strong teams in last 6 games,

He is judged on staying in the Premier, not the age of the squad, don’t expect any change.

Maybe controversial, but I actually thought Meyer played well when we came on yesterday. Some neat passion and a decent cross.

I fear there is certainly a player in there, but due to him not being in Hodgson's 15 man squad, we haven't seen it.

Well I would think he has some say in it but the amount of money SP is prepared to put up for purchases is also going to be a big factor.

If there is little money available then we are inevitably going to be looking at cheaper ageing players, or out of contract players.

last night was a stark reminder that we're devoid of creativity and goal scorers. This won't change going into next season due to Roy's player preference and our inability to sign a goal scorer.

How I'd love someone like an in-form Punch' right now. We don't even have one of those to chip in. Cahill is probably close to top of our 'attempts on goal' stats for the last three games, which only highlights our impotence.
