Apologies if this has been asked before but..... Does anyone know if we have to sell to the Turkish side or can we sell to someone else if they offer over and above the deal we have done around the loan deal? Many thanks

Many thanks My understanding is that Sorloth was sent out on loan a deal until Aug 2021 with an option for the loan club to buy him at anytime for £7mil. The loan deal has no recall option for CP but the Turkish club can send back anytime. However the latter is unlikely as he is currently top scorer in the Turkish league>

Even if we wanted him back, I feel like Sloth wouldn't want to play for us.. we by all accounts disrepsected him, the loan deal alone was terrible optics.
This was once a quality forum.... |

As far as Sorloth, is concerned Trabzonspor hold all the aces, he can only return if he requests a move back or the club are not happy with him (unlikely on both accounts). Some press reports say the Palace can pay a fee to get him back and they did try to get him back in January without success. The only people responsible for players contracts are Parish and Freedman. Roy perhaps has some responsibility in not giving Sorloth a good chance and playing him in the right position. The other player who is a centre back that we also have on loan at Rakow is Jach, he is a defender in his mid 20s, with our aging defenders he should be back here getting first team experience, I think he may be due back right now but won't be able to play currently because of the loan deal.

He was not good enough for the PL. Just because he is scoring in Turkey, doesnt make automatically good enough again.

To be fair Sorloth never did the business or looked likely to for us. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. He did ok'ish on his loan in Belgium came back and was no better for us. The deal at the time looked good business. If anyone has seen the league he plays in now on BT sport the standard is no better than Championship at best. If we got him back would he do the business for us in the EPL? I doubt it. They only learning point is probably a two year loan wasn't a good idea.

Not PL standard. He's found his level in the Turkish League.
