This is a good idea. I would bet a lot of over 75s on healthy pensions wouldnt begrudge paying the subscription if that type of system was implemented.

Didn't Radiohead release an album a few years back where you could donate what you wanted to pay for it? It was a complete blow out & financial disaster. I'm sure the technology is there where the TV manufacturers could add software to your TV where the BBC could be blocked & you would only be allowed to view it after you paid the licence fee. Probably wouldn't work well in my opinion. Didn't Radiohead release an album a few years back where you could donate what you wanted to pay for it?
It was a complete blow out & financial disaster.
I'm sure the technology is there where the TV manufacturers could add software to your TV where the BBC could be blocked & you would only be allowed to view it after you paid the licence fee.

Do they still go round checking if you have a tv license with the van with a satellite or was that fake? I thought the only way was banging on your door otherwise just don't pay for the rubbish.
