There was I confident that we wouldn't lose to a toothless Villa side and what happens?

We don't turn up. Yes I know VAR got it horribly wrong with the Sakho header but after that we made Villa look good.

That has to have been the worst performance against a poor team that I've seen since... (fill in the dots!)

I, too, am rapidly reaching the conclusion that Roy will have to go at the end of this season.

The players on the pitch seemed to take the attitude 'we're Roy's boys so we don't need to bother if we don't feel like it'. At least both Jairo and Max tried to inject some urgency.

With Benteke banned for the rest of the season, hopefully, it will be the last we will see of him in a Palace shirt.

I ask myself the question, 'Do I want my free pass to watch the Manure game?' How has it come to this?

Disgusted Doombear rant over.

I'll revisit this in the cold light of day tomorrow and see if I feel the same.

So here I am in the cold light of day. the only change I'll make is to answer the question about the free pass for the Manure game.
YES, I'll have it because I'm a sucker for Palace That's the beauty of the beautiful game-so many of us supporting teams with little hope of mega success. Managers come and go but Palace remains in the blood. I just hope we'll see a different midfield on Thursday.

So have duly revisited in the cold light of day.

So he is admitting he kicked PVA but because Utd got a penalty he should have.
What would Shearer have said if this was Wilf “ a diver/cheat” with Grealish its “English cleverness” is it just me?

It was Grealish who instigated contact with PVA's foot and then dived to try and win the penalty.Pure simulation.
Grealish goes down very easily and spends more time on the floor than my 'Axminster'.

It was such an exaggerated dive it beggars belief that Atkinson fell for it. This is the same ref who couldn’t wait to book Wilf at Arsenal for a perceived dive. No booking for Grealish though

He did say that Sakho's goal should've stood so I was pleased with him for saying that but he isn't very good yet with fooling the officials with dubious decisions, he'll be off when Villa go down because he is a talent although a pretentious one with his hair and socks.
Villa did one over us by antagonising our players with much expertise as much with the mouth as falling over every single time a challenge happened, I'm hoping Villa are relegated to death.

A booking should've been the result for it without any doubt because of the dive.

He is very talented and I have no issue with him being prentious, as he does back it up.
With our experience why are we antagonised by teams? James McCarthy seems to be the only one who gets into opposition faces, dont want us to be cloggers but a bit of verbal now and then wouldn’t go amiss

Souness has said that he isn't impressed with his work off the ball and he gets a fouled a lot as he holds on to the ball too long and doesn't see the bigger picture.

Who wants to watch?

The soul of the club’s being slowly killed year on year. It’s becoming just an investment vehicle to pay wildly inflated salaries to some incredibly poor, unmotivated performers (take your pick), devoid of passion or care for the club.

Please, someone, bring back a reason to watch the club play. Players with passion, who care, who want to wear the shirt, and prepared to give it a go.

Accountants.

Back to Villa 1-0 goal. What was PVA (left back by profession) doing in central defence when the ball was whipped in and their goal scorer had the area all by himself?

Trezeguet was left unmarked at the far post and capitalised on a poor header from Joel Ward.Abject defending all round.
