Never mention S..t
The mar-mite manager

His time has come to call it a day. I said it last season and Ive said it this season, you can paper over the cracks for only so long. We huff & we puff, but he plays the same players, in the same Plan A. and yes some days we get it right.
But lets get real, we need a change, this team is fading and good players from outside wont join Palace with Roy tactical format and knowing Roy is going, if not this season, next... why ruin your own career... by chancing for one season and Im sure Parish wont want to waste £millions...

Hodgson hasn't all of a sudden become a sh*t manager. Quite a few people have become sh*t 'fans', though.

We clearly do not even practice throw ins!!!

We had a far worse team under Pulis, in fact it was sh1t. However, at least you could tell we tried hard, and at least we demonstrated that we probably practised set pieces.
Anyone see our corner stats? They're unacceptable from a professional football team. And who can you blame except the manager? We clearly do not work on set pieces and this is shown in every match we play. We would score 10 or 11 goals from set pieces if we actively worked on them, so we would have scored a lot more than we have.
This is surely a basic fundamental part of football and, whilst I never particularly cared that Kane took corners for England, I now see how inept we, and by extension Roy, are in that department.
Not good enough at all and merits a word at the very least. I think it's one goal from over 150 corners. We have probably conceded more from our own corners than we have scored. This is genuinely pathetic.

Its not the backing on Roys the problem, its the player who keep choosing other teams over Palace, do players coming in, really want to play the Roy Plan A...no they go elsewhere....

No, safe pair of hands, signed new contract, got us our highest epl points total,Roys here for at least another season , lets hope Steve and the Yanks back him this time!Bring in a corner delivery coach/set pieces etc. My tip for the striker coach (brighty?), is line up the squad , place ball on penalty spot, no goalkeeper, and let them try and hit the net, move ball same distance back, and repeat, carry on until people fail, and drop out, until we have a winner, it will hopefully let the players see they can have a go from distance and actually see the net bulging which might be a new experience for some!Brighty take notice!

You seem remarkably well informed. Where are you getting this information from, or are you guessing (again)?

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

So basically, keep Roy on the payroll, but get everyone else to do his job for him? Because he can’t coach tactics, set pieces, finishing, or individual skill, and can’t motivate the team.

And come up with an U8’s coaching regime?

I would really like see and hear what that so called Palace supporter thinks now, who disgustingly verbally abused my uncle on social media after the Manchester City game earlier in the season.

Well motor mouth we are not 6th anymore and we are not heading for Europe, do you still think Roy is the best manager we’ve ever had.

Hodgson has had a lot of critics of which I am one.
However, more performances like tonight could lead to a change of view
We played 2 up front with Zaha freed of some of his defensive responsibilities and seemed to play ten yards further forward as a team which led to plenty of opportunities.
We look much better as a team when Hodgson releases the shackles.
I just hope we can continue in this vein and am sure we would get results playing this way.

I shall be controversial here, I don’t think Utd turned up tonight. They never got out of first gear. Yes, we played okay but our team earlier this season would have got a Favourable result last night. Chelsea match was also similar and they lost 3.0 next match. Let’s see how Utd get on next match. Perhaps if we hadn’t been so awful in the games other than these two I would not be so negative. As I’ve said before I’m a Hodgson out now because we need to replace this aging team and prepare for the seasons to come. I’m fairly confident with Hodgson next season we will see relegation and even with a replacement now that will probably happen because we need a major overhaul. However a new manager coming in could start building now for the seasons to come and perhaps bounce back from the Championship the season after next? Would love to be proved wrong though :-)

If we could see Roy using plan B, C - if we saw him using the bench, then you could argue that it's time to truly back him with his players... but I feel it's no point hone he didn't use Solorth enough, he hasn't used Meyer enough, he didn't use Camasarra (sic)... he likes what he likes... and sometimes, that's not good.

This was once a quality forum....

After the comments today, I think a lot of the remaining Roy apologists might give up
