If we lose 18 pages of comments, get a good result only 8, we do have some fickle folk on the Holmesdale.
Enjoy the break, hopefully we will all be back come 12th September.

Normally every match thread will get 30+ pages regardless of the result. At this point I think most people have given up for the season.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

I suspect most people are stunned that we actually got a point!

Or maybe they haven’t got much to slag today. A depleted Palace gave Spurs more than a bit to deal with. Spurs had plenty to play for ,their touch line celebration showed how happy they were, with that result . That result wasn’t them prepared to rely on brinkmanship, there was to much to lose for that.

I don't think Spurs would have had grounds for complaint if we had snatched that.

A good, committed performance from the players which was good to see.

But... but... Hodgson out

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I find it rather sad how some posters on here believe they have the moral high ground because we managed to squeeze one point out of the final 24 and 17 points out of the entire second half of the season scoring just 14 goals during that time.

That is relegation form however you describe it. There is a lot to be done in 6 weeks if we are to stay up next season.

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson speaking to BBC Sport: "We could not move up a place in the table but I am really pleased with them to go out and get a hard earned point.

"Our squad is small, it is ageing, we have been playing some of the top teams in the country and it has been hard. I see this period as a necessary evil that we have had to go through.

"Even if the intention and desire from the board is to spend some money and rejuvenate the team, whether it’s a possibility in the market is another matter. Unless we get help soon the job gets harder and harder. We need some players who can do what Harry Kane did for Tottenham today."

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson on the future of Wilfried Zaha: "It’s a dilemma for the club and for him if he is so set on leaving.

"We still like him very much, we can't make him like us. It’s obviously affected him because his form in the last few weeks has been quite poor considering what he is capable of doing. I don’t have an answer."

I for one am under no illusion how important this window is. We are in trouble if we start the season with that squad.

After these comments about Wilf, possibly. He hasn’t played well but to say he doesn’t like the club is outrageous
