Why are we still talking about this?

He is not coming back anytime soon, unless we sign him again from Turkey for say £28 Mill....

The way this club is run who knows?

Yes, but this is from Ligue 1:

Player to watch: Paris Saint-Germain's 21-year-old French centre back Mamadou Sakho.

An extremely strong and rugged centre back, Sakho is the future of the French national team. I hope manager Laurent Blanc can start Sakho because he is a good footballer not because of his skin colour.

Not sure how true the above is but it is interesting how Sorioth is gaining respect from media sources!

This lad sounds a great prodpect. Ben scoring for fun in Turkey.

Might be just what we need. I reckon a cheeky bid of about £25 Mill should secure his services

He may not have made it in the PL but this loan deal was amatuerish, if Dougie was responsible in any other walk of life he would be sacked.

Exactly - surely heads have rolled over this. As usual we are a joke of a club.

Surely we would have included a recall clause - most loan deals do..!!

If not whoever negotiated the deal is “grossly incompetent” and should be dealt with accordingly..!

No recall clause. Only clause I can see is they could buy for £5.5m. Total and utter incompetence

Why oh why in the multi million £ marketplace that is professional football would you negotiate and agree a deal like that - when the asset is under “primary” contract to you?

I just can’t believe it’s right - no one is seriously that naive and or stupid at that level - surely..!!

Especially when you’d already invested a reported £9M..!

Any deal like this must have been signed off at Exec level so they’re all equally culpable.

If true no wonder Harris and Blitzer don’t trust Parish et al with further investment...!!

The issue was actually over trying to recoup as much as possible as was invested in his purchase - hence the E5.5m price tag which largely covered the outlay of his purchase. The judgement was made - probably by Roy, Dougie and Parish - that he was not going to make it in the PL and hence it was best for both parties to cut their losses. Such a view was, it is worth recalling, very much the judgement of the vast majority of fans. Hence, it has been a major surprise that he has done so well in Turkey whereas his impact on loan in Belgium was minimal.
Many people thought at the time that the deal that had been struck was a good one for CPFC; easy with the great vision of hindsight to say it should have been done differently.
Personally, I am still not really convinced that he will make it in a top league but time will tell.
