I fully agree, I for one am happy he did not as it would be madness to plunge us in to a change right now, Roy has done a great job keeping us for the last three year with a very mediocre squad. He cannot be blamed for Zaha poor performance this past season as some have suggested that is down to Zaha who has been sulking ever since he could not get the move he wanted last year. His performance yesterday was in complete contrast to other 10 who all played with fight and determination, you could see Zaha dropped shoulders and the look he had of I do not want to be here. Now is the time to get behind Roy and hope he gets the support he has been asking for in terms of team investment over several past window, This is of course not to say over the next 12 months we need succession planning in place for Roy but in the meantime let's hope new faces arrive and we can still be PL at the end of next season and end this thread as has been suggested!

Who in the right mind, unless its a final contract for the player, will players want to come and play Roys Plan A and negative tactics.
If the player has a choice of two premier clubs, its very unlikely to be us. If we are the only team after him, that says it all...

Roy add no value to our team, their values fall.

If you are trying to pick players that should buy, think why would they be a "Roys" player. Whenever a new manager arrives "Roys" fav players will be gone, you see this every match, if they can walk, they can play

He is clueless to provide tactics to make a forward play plan, he wants his wingers to cover the full back.
For Zaha, in his shoes I would hate to stuck in a negative based team, no wonder he is in a rut and just doesn't want to do Roys tactics, hes tried and he knows they dont work for forwards, move on Zaha or Roy move on and then under a new manager we will likely see a rejuvenated Zaha!!

Ps Brighton had a poor season.. yet finished two points behind Palace, get real to what our season was.. Newcastle had a bad season, they finished above Palace

Sorry but apart from FDB then the period when Benteke was out at the start of Roy’s reign when Roy produced miracles getting results with no forwards, Benteke went from being highly effective under Allardyce to completely useless or rarely receiving a chance or a quick ball or pass. We wait for the opposition to get ready and set before the defence has touched it 27 times. Benteke did miss some chances sure, but he was never a clinical finisher. Look at him at Liverpool. Couldn’t side foot the ball in from a pass from a right winger. But give him plenty of action and he got goals. Liverpool had long build up play and it didn’t suit him. The whole football world knew it. Our build up play takes about 5 times longer.

Roy, Parish, Freedman and the other 2 major owners all share the blame for our gradual and obvious decline into the issues we’re facing.

Sorry Rudi but I have never been great fan of Benteke, in his first season he did score 15 goals and in fairness to him that did probably keep us in the PL. He has not done much since. I personally found him lazy and lacking in mobility always waiting for the ball to come to him (his head) and not working defenders when he did not have the ball (unlike Vardy), as you rightly say his floor skills were fairly limited. Remember the penalty he missed in the last minute at home to Man City. IMO Roy has had limited choices with the squad that he had largely inherited, made worse by a fairly long run of long term injuries in a relatively small squad. Sam Allardyce, was manager for 23 games (points per game 1.26), at the end of the season he knew that the team would struggle and when he knew the cash was not there he walked as did Pulis before him. The team has tried to play expansive football under Pardew and FdB and each time we were nearly relegated had their tenue continued. Whereas Roy Has stuck with us and IMO against the odds kept us in the PL.
I appreciate that others have different opposing views and that is there right. However what I would like to see now is us all pulling together around Roy and hope he gets the players he wants and the support from the board that he deserves.
