Could be that the press are putting two and two together because Hodgson is potentially facing 8 defeats in a row and Dyche has voiced his displeasure about how Burnley is run.

Obviously we all know where he wants to end up, but getting Premier League experience with us for 3 years could suit both. Unless he relegates us and that would be a complete disaster Pipedream? I forgot to mention Roger Schmidt. Probably the best manager in the world in my opinion. Unemployed after a Chinese experience. Man really built Bayer Leverkusen. All his players were running 90 minutes non-stop, everything was done in pwrepetuum mobile principle. Some said that he pushes the players too physically and is too demanding, finishing one's resources in 3-4 years and then the player being no good anymore, but it actually just made them accustomed to a certain level and increased their careers.

They have an extremely good set up, and have consistently brought in young talent with a clear vision for the way the team is set up. The coach has to match that.

Funnily enough I've suggested him before. I would ask whether our squad could manage that in a covid shortened season. It will be interesting to see whether teams who practice a hard running high press can stay consistent with 1-2 games every week all season.

I think things could fall nicely for use with regard to Eddie Howe. Clearly he cares deeply about Bournemouth and will take their relegation hard. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wants some time out of football Which could be perfect timing for Roy’s contract ending and an opportunity to take up another role within the club. His sides play terrific football and he will have learned a lot in relegation. But Palace need to commit to it. A long term deal will give everyone the chance to buy into a more entertaining brand of football and provide stability for the club and the younger players.
