Correct verdict.

Life would be about right with 12 to 15 year tariffs.

It would be the right justice in a civilised country. And yes before you ask if I was his missus I would love to be served my favourite meal while watching them all being slowly roasted alive. Which is precisely why we have our objective system in place.

But they would have known he was trapped behind so could have stopped. My local news, which covers the area concerned, gave graphic details, they knew full well they had him trapped.

You are right. Of course they knew he was caught up and tethered to the back of their vehicle. Why else would they be repeatedly weaving from side to side if not trying to dislodge him?!

Just awful.

Cannot verify this but I have heard claims from Police friends of mine that there was potential evidence from a PCSO in which it was claimed one of the suspects had boasted about how they would not hesistate to kill anybody who tried to stop them stealing. He could not fathom why this was not used in the court case because it would have shown how prone and happy to use potentially fatal violence these people are.

Henry Long (driver) sentenced to 16 years, Jessie Cole & Albert Bowers sentenced to 13 years. Long Will have received a reduced tariff, taking into account his guilty manslaughter plea.

According to the Sky reporter outside court the Judge had said, in delivering sentence, that he ‘was in no doubt that the occupants of the vehicle knew PC Harper was being towed by the vehicle’. This is a very clear rebuke for the trial jury who had earlier found them not guilty of murder.

This is why most defendants opt for Jury, because jury's don't understand the law, and would rather go for 'not guilty' than risk a mis-carriage of justice.
Those C-units will be banged up for at least 7 years each (allowing for parole).
I hope there is a re-trial for murder and these C-unis gets taken off the streets for a lot longer and bummed-to-death in prison

Thants ok, just wanted to make sure that you understood that your comments were undermining the principles of 'guilt beyond a reasonable doubt'and trial by jury. Possibly you meant to do this and have a very low opinion of the rule of law.
