I think things could fall nicely for use with regard to Eddie Howe. Clearly he cares deeply about Bournemouth and will take their relegation hard. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wants some time out of football Which could be perfect timing for Roy’s contract ending and an opportunity to take up another role within the club.
Howe Is a student of the game and would benefit from having Roy’s wisdom to call upon if needed. I think that Palace could create a very good environment for Howe to flourish.

His sides play terrific football and he will have learned a lot in relegation. But Palace need to commit to it. A long term deal will give everyone the chance to buy into a more entertaining brand of football and provide stability for the club and the younger players.
With all the academy and stadium improvements in the pipeline it might really suit all concerned?

But Bournemouth owe other clubs £81m in transfer fees as a result of spending under Howe’s watch and Roy has schooled him twice this season.

Bournemouth managed one shot on target against us when we played most of the game with ten men against them in December and turned them over.

Thing that concerns me most about Howe is his defensive record. He had seasons to put it right and didn’t manage it.

The last 2 mangers we had who didn’t give a toss about defending were Holloway and Pardew, and both didn’t end too well.

Vive le Roy!

Funnily enough I've suggested him before. I would ask whether our squad could manage that in a covid shortened season.

It will be interesting to see whether teams who practice a hard running high press can stay consistent with 1-2 games every week all season.

I'm sure someone like Roger Schmidt would know what to do in order to get the best results.

Agreed. That is why I am curious to see what the high pressing hard running teams do across the whole of next season. i.e. How they adapt.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

noteworthy that Chelsea lost two players today to hamstring type injuries. How many more are waiting to collapse when the pre-season starts, never mind the new season itself.

Eddie Howe has left Bournemouth by mutual consent.

They had some strange performances and results it appeared the players lost the plot on and off along with this manager, I liked Chris Hughton the most in recent times, Brighton haven't improved much if at all without him and the same can be said about Newcastle where I feel he really was badly treated.

Gary Monk is another I'd like, Sheff Wed at the moment though.
