The posters are craving for us to sign Eze suggesting he will be our saviour. As a young inexperienced player who has never played in the Premiership why are fans thinking he will dramatically change the effectiveness of our team ? What is it that makes fans think he has to be signed for us to improve ?

It's just about having a more balanced team really, rather than searching for a miracle man.

He's young, he's good, he's got a Z in his name. That's enough for me to want to see him in claret and blue.

Not a chance. Without selling Wilf I can’t even imagine our entire budget for this window is more than £20m. We are the paupers of the league. We have only ever pushed the boat out twice in the PL..Benteke and Sakho and we are still having to pay the repercussions of that now. We are skinto United

Eze, has got himself noticed. Good, but many a career has stood still, or gone backward after this sort of attention.
We need three or four decent reliable signings , if Eze, should prove to be one of those , then great , But if we should get him and expect him to turn us into top ten. Then that has to be stretching it by some way.

Top 17 will do me

If he is as good as RLC then I think he would have a big impact on the side because we looked a different team with his vision and passing, although I agree we need more than one player especially if Wilf goes.

I agree about RLC, influence on the side, but he was soon to be a full England international. Both he and Batsi, a full Belgian ,international, showed how close yet how far from being a top half side we might be. We couldn’t afford either if available . But if we could . Who knows what could be achieved. This kids pedigree isn’t quiet as high as the two Chelsea boys, but the same old question mark remains can we even afford him.?

If your talking about the read Crystal Palace article that seems to be a rehash of the articles 2 weeks ago stating we won’t increase our bid. Nothing new in it

So little PL transfer activity so far that the media are struggling to fill their columns. I'll start worrying about not getting Eze when I see firm evidence that other clubs have put in bids. Indeed, the lack of bids for the various Championship players that are deemed potential PL successes is significant in itself.
