We had a fella at work who was as English as fish and chips but for reasons only known to himself used to give people the impression he was American, talked with an American accent, used American words, called everybody “buddy” . One day I was talking too him and said I came from L.A, too which he replied which part I said Lower Addiscombe, he lost interest.

High Schools, what the fk are they ? [Link] It was Primary, Middle and Comprehensive in my day. (or private school) Then 6th Form. Total capitulation by the British Meeja. Next we'll all have candy for the kids and be loading the 'trunk' of our automobiles that run on gasoline. Globalisation really sucks.,....or should that be Globalization ? It was Primary, Middle and Comprehensive in my day. (or private school) Then 6th Form.

Total capitulation by the British Meeja.
