Maybe we should have a no holds barred poster put down thread. Everyone gets one day to blast to their hearts contents, with no comebacks allowed. Then we park it for the rest of the year.

Could be a money spinner, imagine the page views on that day. We could donate the proceeds to buying handjobs for all the overly stressed posters over there on the politics thread.

Who wants to start....

To be honest whist I might not like the cut of their jib, I really don't find any poster so reprehensible that I view that person as an unhinged irritant, a cur, a varmint, a lickspittle or a scurvy piece of work, to the extent that I intend to be a pigeon to their statue or have a relationship as a dog has to a lampost.

I prefer to argue my case free of bile and personal slurs so I for one will refrain from hurling invective or malevolence in their direction.

I say to Willo and Dazza,

You are always gentlemen, whom I both respect, and enjoy reading. I delight in your offerings. At the very least you always bring a smile to my face and brighten my day a little more.

I for one appreciate your offerings and look forward to many more.

It is very clear that you are fans of the club. You can't get better than that. You are forever welcome in my world. From the usually very quiet Eaglesrock but needs must.

Nice to see, despite all the grief you get, you have still been able to retain your sense of humour & long that may continue.

Well known for his mullet

And like Barry Venison, the fish known as mullet has two separate dorsal fins and a muscular stomach.

Have I got to Mornington Crescent yet?

I recall Barry Venison's hairstyle.
He probably groomed himself each morning like the owner of an Afghan hound at Crufts.

I cannot recall focusing on his muscular stomach.Perhaps now that he is in his middle 50s, it has become the victim of inflation.

Seriously to all the negative people out there who constantly try to put others down, no one is forcing you to read my/our posts, no one is forcing you to believe them.

In fact no one is even forcing you to have an account.

I appreciate most will be posted somewhere in the press domain as this is their jobs.

I am just a fan who runs a business, a children’s football club & when I have time try to pass on what I hear sometimes may be late to the party but post so those that are interested so they can read.

If not interested then don’t read.

You mention about Eze but I will just add I said weeks ago it was a done deal yet the press were saying he was off to West Ham or West Brom or we had bid turned down & their were many Palace fans who were stressing & saying we were going to miss out yet I kept saying remain patient.

The fee had always been agreed it was just a matter of other things & timing.

However I don’t know why I am justifying myself as what exactly am I doing wrong apart from posting on a forum.

It’s a shame that in society today we always want to try to put people down just as well I am strong enough to take it.

This is meant to be a Palace Fan Forum so why can’t we just all appreciate all which is posted in good intentions instead of constantly trying to find a negative.

Their is far too much negativity in the world today let’s not bring it on here let’s be positive & a support to whoever needs it at the end of the day we are all human & most of all Palace Fans.

Up the Palace.

Sounds fair enough to me. For one or two of the hyper critical types, the forum acts as a substitute for the therapists chair. If someone's too critical of a nothing comment tell 'em just ignore them and continue with a positive approach. That way they'll soon get bored and crawl off .

Fair play you got the Eze deal right but my gripe is the way you enter snippets and leave people hanging.

It is though you're playing a game, at the start of this thread you are almost playing the victim.

Who knows if you've got inside knowledge but you are the one posting and if something doesn't happen immediately are you really that surprised that people may harangue you for your posts.

I'm afraid that it's human nature in general and even more so on internet forums where people are anonymous so feel like they can say what they want.

The vast majority of forum posters are decent people but there will always be the handful of dickheads just like there are in real life and they are the ones who join a forum agreeing to abide by it's rules, abuse people whom they disagree with and when carded blame the moderator as in their eyes they did nothing wrong.

It's forum life I'm afraid and will probably never change

I think you've offended on the grounds of racism, slavery, immigration and asylum in five words there Willo. Can you imagine to admitting to having an Afghan these days? No wonder you don't see them any more.

On Barry Venison, it was rumoured that we bid for him once but the deal fell through because he was too dear.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

I had no I dear why we never signed Venison but you have enlightened me and for that I thank you.
