Quite right. We can hope for better players but the right to expect a win against the likes of Chelsea is a long way off. We need to go to the next level for that sort of ambition and that cost a whole lot of money that will only come with a new stadium and new ownership.
I am rather giving up on that dream now. I have rather outgrown it I'm sorry to say.

Even though we shouldn't expect to beat the big teams do you think that was a satisfactory performance today? Surely we should expect a better performance than that.

The next 5 or 6 games are pivotal but give me Eddie Howe or Sean Dyche as soon as you like !

Yep. Not satisfactory. Need to perform better. The players. Roy isn't playing at the moment, not sure if he is injured or not though. But as he is not in the the squad, not sure what he can do to make 11 players do better. The formation worked relatively well in the previous 3 matches. Do you really think he told them to play differently?

Please no! Both are worse than Hodgson. At least chuck in an unrealistic name! Poch maybe?

Down on the South Coast today,a local fortune teller told me that unless we belatedly make one or two signings before the window closes, that we have become just too complacent, and will fail badly this season believing in our early season optimism, that we will be very successful for once.
Cannot argue with her prophesy.

We just lost to a team who’ve spent over 100+ million on attacking players because Sakho made 3 costly errors that Roy can’t legislate for. Before then we didn’t look in any danger.

Where were you lot when we beat United? 2 years in a row by the way. Something NO manager has ever done with Palace in the Prem. Not to mention the wins against City and Arsenal. Do you think he set the team out today any differently to those games?

We can’t celebrate Roys tactics when we beat the ‘Top 6’ and then bemoan them when we don’t. We’re a mid table side, with inconsistent players (which is why they’re at palace), sometimes we’ll get surprise wins, most of the time we won’t and it will look comfortable for big sides. That’s football.

Nobody would mind a defeat as long as we show some ambition to win. Roy went there for a 0-0.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

Actually yes I do. I think he told them to play deep and narrow and stay in the game as long as possible. Back to the tactics from last season. Trouble is we went a goal down and game over. Didn't start off like that against utd...plus it was obvious very early that we were being overrun in midfield and playing 442 wasnt working, did he change it in any way?

A good first half only to fall 2 down shortly after the restart, hoped to see a tactical change but no, 2 DM's off & 2 more to replace them. If we get stuffed like this in a fortnight lets see how the mood changes then. Tactics today were a shambles, sick of this 'park the bus' style with the hope of a quick break to fluke a win.
