Spider, Its exasperating watching SSN at the moment and it’s actually putting me in a bad mood! I think they key word from Bridges was “today”. So If our targets are not overseas “international deals” we still have a couple of weeks. That’s how I’m looking at it. I’m not gonna watch it anymore tonight as it’s given me the hump too.
There are some players in the championship that may be of interest - I really think we are a couple light (striker and defender).

I have not watched SSN at all, getting info from my son. We may have a couple of Championship players in mind but clubs will not let them go cheap especially as we may be seemed as desperate. Sheffield Utd et all find players abroad, we don’t. Something is seriously wrong

For all those who are irritated by the club’s lack of signings on deadline day, don’t worry, it’s only about 11 weeks until the January window opens!

Speaking of SSN, they refer to United's interest in Sarr and say that they were quoted £50m. If that really is the price they want then we are definitely not in for him.

Can we not trade with the EFL for another 10 days (and before we next play a Premier league match)? Aren't pretty much all our realistic targets in the EFL.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

it is sometimes worth looking at how successful these "players (from) abroad" actually are. JoeLinton? Haller?

I noticed that Guido Carillo left Southampton on a free today. Bought for £19 million, wages for two and a half years of a four year contract (presumably paid up), 7 games, no goals.

There are many, many more examples to be found.

Just read Jack Wilshere has been released by the Spammers. Our medical team have just been informed of the extra overtime.

I understand what you are saying but there are plenty of examples where they have been good purchases, look at Brighton, Gross and Trossard. Brentford seem to find gems as well

You can bet your life on it. As I've said on numerous occasions Parish is all pi55 and wind. He talks a good game but that's about it. I would bet that he had no intentions of making any moves for Watkins, Benrahma, Brewster or any striker that we've been supposedly linked with.

From the new ground at Crystal Palace Park, to the new stand, to bolstering the squad, everything that comes out of his mouth is cobblers and I can't believe there are still people out there who hang on to every word he spouts. I don't give a toss whether he saved the club 10 years ago, he can't dine out on that forever. If he can't continue to move the club forward then he needs to get out. The problem though is nobody wants to come in and take it, and that's probably because he's made it what it is today - unattractive due to stagnation.

The whole Palace experience has become one big disappointment after another. Take Saturday's game for example. I didn't expect to beat Chelsea, but I expect us to at least have a go. It was embarrassing. My Chelsea supporting mate who is usually quite sensible when appraising the opposition just said that we were pathetic, and the worse side he's seen in a long time. He laughed at the decision to take off two defensive midfielders and replace them with two defensive midfielders when we were chasing the game. I couldn't offer any defence to that because he was right.

A blind man can see where we need replacements, but Parish will stick with Roy despite some terrible results and performances because he knows that he won't rock the boat and is a 'Yes' man. That's why Allardyce and Pulis didn't stick around because they insisted on improvements to the squad, and who can blame them when ultimately it's their necks that are on the line ? They both saw that it was going to be a constant battle so both upped sticks.

I'm getting to the point where I'm starting to not give a furck, just as it appears that the management don't.
