Especially when Brighton can afford to splash out 13 mill on foreign youngsters for the future they are I hate to say building for now and future.

You can bet your life on it. As I've said on numerous occasions Parish is all pi55 and wind. He talks a good game but that's about it. I would bet that he had no intentions of making any moves for Watkins, Benrahma, Brewster or any striker that we've been supposedly linked with.

From the new ground at Crystal Palace Park, to the new stand, to bolstering the squad, everything that comes out of his mouth is cobblers and I can't believe there are still people out there who hang on to every word he spouts. I don't give a toss whether he saved the club 10 years ago, he can't dine out on that forever. If he can't continue to move the club forward then he needs to get out. The problem though is nobody wants to come in and take it, and that's probably because he's made it what it is today - unattractive due to stagnation.

The whole Palace experience has become one big disappointment after another. Take Saturday's game for example. I didn't expect to beat Chelsea, but I expect us to at least have a go. It was embarrassing. My Chelsea supporting mate who is usually quite sensible when appraising the opposition just said that we were pathetic, and the worse side he's seen in a long time. He laughed at the decision to take off two defensive midfielders and replace them with two defensive midfielders when we were chasing the game. I couldn't offer any defence to that because he was right.

A blind man can see where we need replacements, but Parish will stick with Roy despite some terrible results and performances because he knows that he won't rock the boat and is a 'Yes' man. That's why Allardyce and Pulis didn't stick around because they insisted on improvements to the squad, and who can blame them when ultimately it's their necks that are on the line ? They both saw that it was going to be a constant battle so both upped sticks.

I'm getting to the point where I'm starting to not give a furck, just as it appears that the management don't.

You have my every sympathy and many of us feel the same way,I can assure you.We seem to lack any ambition and our sole, boring aim is just to do enough to stay in the Premiership and hope that somehow, there will always be three teams worse than rather pathetic Palace, whose luck will surely run out one season.

One name keeps coming to my mind Jack Wilshire - he’s still only 28 and West Ham want rid.

Before everyone starts giving me pelters - yes I fully appreciate his injury and off field issues.

But if you could get a fully fit and focused Jack Wilshire - in his last full England start he absolutely run the show.

Fully fit and firing IMO at the moment he’s better than Mount, Foden etc..

It would be a massive risk I accept that - but if Hodgson could put his arm around him and say Mate look it’s last chance saloon to fulfill your immense potential - go out there and grab it.

And it worked, what a player you would see..!!!

As I said it would be a huge risk and I ain’t advocating it - but if it worked a fully fit and firing Jack Wilshire would be sight to behold..!!

If Jack Wilshire finishes his career on its current path will be a terrible waste of talent and a crying shame for English football - there is a hell of a footballer in there if only someone can get him fit, focused and firing..!!

COYP

Ffs Wiltshire is a nearly man. Never ever going to be right. My season ticket holder West Ham mate says when he has been fit, he’s always a yard off the pace and when they are attacking with speed he slows the attack down.
Debatable that at his peak he was better than Mount /Foden are now , never in a million years would he be now. When was his peak? He maybe strung a 5 game run together before another injury.

Your second sentence suggests he would fit in well. I would argue he was better than Mount and Foden but not consistently enough

Personally I am going to hold off making that judgement until 16th October. I do hope we have more to shout about by then!

He’d have to go some to slow our attack down.

If he has lost a yard of pace though, I’m sure Roy could convert him into a defensive midfielder and swap him like for like after 70 minutes.

Having supported the club for nearly 50 years, I have accepted who we are and I for one am happy being in the promised land rather than those horrible nights with 5,000 in the ground getting excited when we signed a complete nobody who turned out to be as sh1te as the rest of the team.

I think Parish is the best chairman we have had in recent times, and to keep us in the top league as long as he has is commendable, and we are no longer that yo yo side that I am sure you whinged about in the past.

Yes, the football is not the greatest, however it is effective especially on the tight budget we will always have.

Remember when we gambled before and on more than one occasion almost went out of business? I would rather have this club now than the mess of previous years when we were renting our own ground and having to share it with The Clowns and Wombles at different times!

We can't just keep going out and chucking money around just because fans are getting the hump. This has been tried before and it failed big time.

We still have our main back 4 to come back from injury, Batsman will get a chance at some point soon and Eze is feeling his way into this tougher division.

I agree we were very poor last week, but overall we have had a good start, and to outplay United as well as we did, and to give Everton the best match they have had so far, we seem to have very short memories sometimes.

No sorry to say I am not.

But having lived through Noades, Goldberg and Jordan I am a contented Palace fan.

Just joking, next April will be the 60th anniversary of my first Palace game. More pain than gain but they are my club. Just very frustrating when you see other clubs catching and overtaking us

I have also supported the club for almost 50 years, and was also there during the third division years and the turgid mid eighties. I have seen some shocking players during those times, however I can't ever remember the side playing such negative stuff as we do now. We all knew we were shyte back then, but at least we tried to win instead of just sitting back and hoping for a draw.

I agree it can be frustrating but that's part of the appeal. Much more fun than being a huge club full of plastic fans who will move on to another club as soon as the success stops!
