Someone within the club has been feeding rubbish to the ITKs and I don't know what that ultimately achieves apart from excitement for a week or two followed by far more disappointment

When people believe The Sun, Daily Mail etc. Then there is going to be disappointment. Learn your lesson.

I think it was less that and more to do with people claiming to be in the know stating players would sign, not that they might. Of course Benrahma might still sign.

We haven't had an exciting signing for years (that I can think of?) so Eze for me pushes it up to a 7. Like a previous poster said, the early signings actually probably meant our expectations were that we would do more, which has perhaps taken the gloss off the signings we did make.

On a scale of Susan Boyle to Salma Hayek, this window has been a Stacy from EastEnders for us. Get Benrahma or Buendia in and we could push it up to a Shakira.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

It’s a 4.5 from me .....Eze was a great signing, Ferguson a very young guy who failed a medical in Jan and hasn’t played since is a major concern. Bats....can’t beak into the team at the moment also concerning.

The purchase of a young CB and striker would have made it an 8 but as usual we have failed in grasp the opportunity and rely on a free and a loan for most of our business.

I think it's piss poor and SP, Harris and Blitzer are at fault.

Prepared to wait. We have one player wanted (perhaps needed?) by another club. Has Zach, like Sorloth, been put in the shop window? Will be watching from now to the winter window to see who of the developing players can put their names on the match team-sheet - as AWB and Mitchell achieved. If players come through older players can be released. Roy, Duggie, and Steve have done well to assemble a group of young players who will hopefully attract Roy's replacement.

The disappointment for me was not who we bought in but who we failed to move on. If Benteke and or Wickham had left,I would consider it decent window

I think the only transfer we need at the moment is Blitzer and Harris out. I'll be happy then, even without money for the stadium upgrade. At least we won't have them trying to conserve every penny for their own pockets.

Wait a minute it's an Eight from me.

5 for keeping a squad that's kept us in the premiership for 10 Years and therefore par. ( If you want to argue about the Gaffer, then its another half from me). Guinness???

1 for Keeping Zaha
1 for Getting Bats Back (Even on loan)
1 for Eze

that's 8/10 and I'm not apologising for having my cup half full.

Cheers Roy, from the Terraces to the Dug-out.

Did we keep Zaha by default as no-one else wanted to buy him with his excessive wage demands?
