Saddens me to say - Palace were so second best ,it was embarrassing to watch My only consolation was to view Roy’s negative mind set in my front room and not journeying to Selhurst Park Palace ,simply counter attacking and dogged defending are not the only ingredients to win games but that is Roy’s way .I doubt many neutral supporters enthuse about watching Palace games With Roy in charge and Parish at the helm it will all be about preventing relegation not pretty viewing and winning plaudits for attractive football

Football is total and utter tripe.
No attacking intent whatsoever, just get into 'Shape' and play in a strait-jacket.

I was beetroot-gilled bellowing at the television urging us to get on the front foot and push Brighton back.
I was self-combusting with tonsils leaving their moorings.

Willo, your posts are 100 times more entertaining than that match.

I alternated between being nonplussed and apoplectic.

2017 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Middlesboro
2018 Jan. (Sako) Palace 1 - 0 Burnley
2019 May (Batshuayi, Batshuayi, OG, Van Aanholt, Townsend) Palace 5 - 3 Bournemouth
2020 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Newcastle

I'll second that. We are a disgrace to the PL.

Shame our football wasn't as entertaining as your post.

The Roy Hodgson cycle is in full flow now. Happened with England, you get stability, followed by more stability that gradually erodes.

You get more of the same system until you get battered by sides like Iceland and when your system has been figured out you compensate by coming even more defensive. Sides play you and know there will
be nothing front foot.

It’s like we played Everton, had a go and lost and now it’s back to playing with fear and negativity.

I think you hit the nail on the head here.

Lotta predictable crazy here...

Yes, we played defensive, uncreative, manifestly conservative football, but that's because we had a 1-0 lead early in the game, and have a strong defensive squad. We were opportunistic enough to score a goal denied due to a 2-inch offside, and conceded because of a TERRIBLE misplay followed by a very unlucky deflection.

We played very predictable and boring fall back football. Had a single shot on goal compared to Brighton's 20 efforts and quite frankly, we were probably fortunate to get anything out of today's game.

I'm not even asking for attractive football, just football that recognises that you need to attack as well as defend and try to do both in reasonable proportions.

I was stupid enough to renew my ST. (Go on laugh at me)!

I don’t even want to hear Roy’s after match speech, it will be full of the same old bloody excuses on how things didn’t workout for us, how we couldn’t string two passes together, we couldn’t get our foot on the ball. Brighton played this and we couldn’t match them. We were extremely lucky today Brighton deserved their goal and their point, again lucky for us it wasn’t all three points. If Steve Parish has great visions for this club, and there is nothing wrong in that, then you cannot take that away from him. Palace fans are a laughing stock, we have suffered enough, all we want is a club to be proud of, South London & proud, a club that even though they go and lose a match at least the fans can go away happy knowing that they are playing good attractive football, they want what most supporters want their club to be the best they want their club to go forward if he thinks we can do that under this manager Hodgson then he is kidding himself.

Oh well, 33 more games, 33 more bore draws and we'll be fine

Palace , in spite of managers, are reverting to the Taylor methodology.

That comes from the Board. changing the Manager won't change diddly-squat,

Some nice handbags though. Glad see the players wanting to punch Brighton. We’d have won on points if it had been a boxing match.
