Brexiteers just talk meaningless jingoist tripe whenever they are asked to give any benefit at all from brexit.

Like Johnson they don't understand anything about it because any details completely floor them.

Frankly to take comfort from the pandemic and brexit together as beneficial, well you wonder what planet they are living on.

It's good to know you are keeping an open mind.

Jingoism has nothing to do with it, comrade. You will try to prove yourself right no matter what happens in future.

Bit of a generalisation perhaps?
I know why I want to leave and accept it won't be simple.
My reasons are certainly not "jingoism" for sure!

I agree with Cryst's post earlier.
The EU were so arrogant that they wouldn't give Cameron anything at all and in doing that they ensured a "leave" vote.
Had he been able to come back with some decent titbits it is highly likely we wouldn't be leaving.

'Tovarich' please.

Nobody ever said 'comrade' except in second-rate bourgeois American movies starring Ronald Reagan.

Fraternal greetings otherwise 'peace and bread'.

After brexit you will be looking for those.....

The entire Cameron package amounted to less than the cost of Benteke.

Certainly put Johnny Foreigner in his place that night.

That's not fair mate. We dont know where we are going to be but we know where we would have been.

An important intervention by the EU super-state God-mother Merkel.

'Get outta' my office you slimey french douche-bag (Barnier) don't come back without a deal or I'll throw my desk at you'.

Mais oui madame - but the fishing?

'F**k fishing I like burgers'

From the 'Brenigma' code-breakers at Stockley Park.

Merkel is putting pressure on Macron but then again the Germans don't really care about fishing so she can afford to be flexible.

Macron of course is concerned about elections next year in France and the domestic disturbances so a bit of Brit bashing always goes down well with the locals.

France is of course the issue. Germany pragmatic enough to want a deal. France's pragmatism runs to how much free money can they get from the Germans whilst subsidising the laziest people on Earth. But, of course, it's the evil English coming to buy cheap drink at Calais and not wanting to eat vatlrious raw delights that are the problem. They have never forgiven Waterloo, let alone Mers el Kebir. They want to eat their cake and have it all,in return for the mere support of letting Germany run Europe however they want to. If Merkel changed the French Police uniform to SS ones, Macron would merely ask 'which colour?'. In French, of course, which I can't bring myself to use right now.
