He said track and trace was looking like a failure because people were not isolating when requested by the service. That isnt anyones fault but us. How can a system work if the sole purpose of it isnt being adhered to. The basic knowledge of C19 is that it's very contagious, can be removed from surfaces by washing and can be stopped by not spreading it.

A lot of people have needed to earn money.
You don’t really need to wash anything if you never touch the holes in your face with hands that haven’t been washed.

True but when earning money endangers others lives is it worth it. For two weeks. No one gets evicted, no one gets sent to jail.
If two weeks affects you that bad financially you were already on the way down. What if you break a limb or get bad flu (ironically) you wouldn't go to work.
What's the difference?

Spiked isnt bad but really need to get onside as creating division wont help any of us.
Hmg are in charge so agree or not we have to prove a point that us can get rid of this bug, irrelevant of how we feel about the danger to individuals.

You think people have savings and won’t miss 2 weeks full pay? A lot of people wouldn’t have been getting full pay during lockdown for months. I don’t mean under £25,000 getting 80% so only missing out on travel, lunches or whatever. I’m talking about people earning a lot more in areas with bigger mortgages. You may have referred to ‘The race to the bottom’ before.

English people or people who’ve grown up or lived here a long time don’t like being lied to. It’s bad enough being told what to do but if lied to as well then many ignore or worse. First lockdown was different because we didn’t know more than it gets mainly old and/or people with poor health or health conditions. Some thought it got anyone and 1-10%.

Exactly, all this fuss and it’s killed 0.1% of the population. Vast majority of whom were either ill, very old or both.

£14bn per month on furlough scheme, it’s nuts. Vulnerable shield, everyone else get on with it. We’re nearly at herd immunity anyway.

Trouble is, the South West are largely spared from it so far. But once lockdown is lifted....?

I'd bet on lockdown III around mid February.

Couldn’t agree more. We just going to have a lockdown every six months for next ten - twenty years?

Gotta get on with life.

I know lots dont have savings but now many are going to lose a lot more because some havent isolated if they knew they should. You didnt look at the line about another reason to be off work.

Well I’ve been out and about all day and I’m seeing no change whatsoever on the roads.

Back in March/April things were dead but it just seems a normal day out there to me.

On the contrary, my wife and I made a 2 hour round trip to Surrey (Permitted as per the regulations) and we both noticed a distinct reduction in the amount of traffic on the roads.
