There have been so many outbreaks in slaughterhouses across the US and in Europe which have led to sickness and even deaths of of workers that the conditions need honest investigating. It is worrying I said the other day that you would think that companies handling food production would have strict hygiene protocols even before the virus. If it was an office block I could understand a mass infection. What on earth is going on and where are the inspectors?

Twice a year during the influenza vaccine composition meetings, all information on the viruses is reviewed and the need for new candidate vaccine viruses is discussed. We will carefully read the paper to understand what is new. - Similar to last pandemic the world encountered - 2009 swine flu virus. Infections found in abbatoirs and those people working with pigs.

A World Health Organization spokeswoman said: "Eurasian avian-like swine influenza virus are known to be circulating in the swine population in Asia and to be able to infect humans sporadically. Twice a year during the influenza vaccine composition meetings, all information on the viruses is reviewed and the need for new candidate vaccine viruses is discussed. We will carefully read the paper to understand what is new.

"It also highlights that we cannot let down our guard on influenza; we need to be vigilant and continue surveillance even during the COVID-19 pandemic."

If it's like the other swine flu most already have some sort of immunity so this hopefully wont be anything like as dangerous as C19

Neglected zoonotic diseases kill two million people a year, they say.

Covid-19 is set to cost the global economy tn (�7.2tn) over two years.

Ebola, West Nile virus and Sars are also all zoonotic diseases: they started in animals, and made the jump to humans.
