Utter nonsense. Taking the knee is that matter is a show of direct support for Black Lives Matter. It is all part of the wider campaign of support the Premier League has organised.

If the national anthem was played before each game and players chose to then kneel through that it might be linked to what happened in the US prior to this BLM nonsense.

But what we have seen in the UK is a direct act of support for the BLM movement. Out of interest, do you oppose BLM? Would you take a knee in support of BLM? And if not, does that make you a racist?

It’s a reaction to the George Floyd murder and that black lives’ matter. Not the political organisation. Do you honestly believe that every single football player is doing it because of a political cause in the US?

I would take a knee alongside the other pros over here, yes. Do I support everything the political movement BLM stand for? No.
