I suspect some supporters of clubs outside the PL hearing the cries of "Roy out" would be somewhat perplexed as to quite why some of our supporters want Roy Hodgson to be removed of his duties.

They have a yearning for their teams to be in the hallowed land of the PL, and would wonder why some of our supporters are calling for the head of a manager who has kept us in the PL for the past 3 seasons on a limited budget. How they would wish their clubs would be in our position.

Why are you unable to understand that he is not going to be around as manager for very long anyway, what if it is another two seasons why do you care so much because it amazes me that you seem to hate him so much that he has to go tomorrow, whilst he is with us we are not going to be in a relegation situation in the slightest so just take a chill pill and sit back and wait for the club to decide who and when the new man comes in because it really really is very silly of you to keep on worrying about something that is not something to worry about.[/quote

This applies to Zaha not Roy. Without Zaha we lose. Bottom line. If Wilf were to get a season ending injury we are down. Roy has shown he is incapable of finding a solution to when Wilf does not play. The fate of us retaining our premier league status rests with Wilf not Roy.

Your narcissistic posts are becoming extremely tiring. Your just some bloke off the internet like the rest of us. Stop preaching to people.

emphatically seconded

Today is a big day in many respects.
We really should be beating a very poor WBA side even though it is away from home.
A draw - subject to how we play - is sort of acceptable of course but lose this one and it is time for change.
The signs have been there for a while and therefore anything other than an emphatic win today followed by some better all round performances should mean that the Manager leaves.
As I have said before - I am very aware of the "Curbishley" issue and none of us want that but we are entitled - if that is the right word - to better than we are getting now.
Some sort of improvement given how long we have been in the Prem this time is not too much to ask is it?
We have stagnated and are playing generally poor football with zero ambition and negative tactics which to me after this amount of time is like going backwards.

Arguably Pulis did better with a lesser set of players. Currently this side represents Hodgson in entirety - dull and predictable, despite Hodgson saying this is the best squad he has had! Add a few freeloaders to the mix and a serious lack of motivation (last season with 8 to play illustrated this to me) and the inevitable "Iceland" effect has struck.
Next season should be different.

These type of performances make it even more difficult to suck up Roy’s stubbornness to not allow the team to express themselves more often. He’ll never change we all know that but it shows what we can achieve when we take the shackles off. We’ve got the ability but Roy holds the team back. I’m not Roy out at all costs but if he’d adapt and embrace change or build on performances like this and allow us to go at teams, not all teams obviously I’d be happy. He can afford to take more risks with this palace team. I wish he’d cotton on.

Perspective. One good half in six; abject against Burnley, poor against Newcastle, and ordinary in the first half against WBA.
Only the WBA player will know why he lost discipline over a nothing situation to give the ref the opportunity to show red. Our second half performance took full advantage and we ran out easy winners against 10 men, a solid performance that shows that players can find the net!
Strange things can happen in football, and so let's hope that the momentum from this victory is carried on throughout a tricky run of games in December.
A welcome win in emphatic fashion!

Todays result was great but it doesn't get Roy off the hook in my eyes.
We are very ordinary in the first half and doubt we would have got the result bar the sending off which was lucky for us as it was never a red for me.
we won so I am very happy but overall still a little underwhelmed given our poor performances versus Brighton, Burnley and Newcastle.
The league is wide open this year and it will be our best chance for our highest finish ever although we still might do that of course.
think of this - wins against those three - 8 extra points and today we would be on top of the Prem by 2 points!
That is how open this season is!
