Ques que ce, languorous?'

You have echoed one of the great closing lines in all cinema history. It comes at the end of the 1960 French film A Bout de Souffle (translated as Breathless). Jean-Paul Belmondo is dying on a Paris street and says to Jean Seberg: "C'est vraiment degueulasse." After an exchange with the cop who shot Belmondo, she says:

"Qu'est que c'est, degueulasse?"

Seberg, who is American, is asking what degueulasse means.

So you must be a movie fan to channel that line of dialogue now.

Degueulass means disgusting. Let's hope that does not apply to Palace tonight.

The right place at the right time

Thought we won at Fulham 2-0 ???

Our defenders thought so too, unfortunately a few minutes before the game actually finished

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Will be interesting to see tonight's line up - Cahill is apparently fit, if so has to play, for me alongside Tomkins and Kouyate moving back to midfield.

I'd probably line up, if all fit;

Guatita
Clyne, Tomkins, Cahill, Mitchell
Kouyate, McArthur
Townsend, Eze, Zaha
Benteke

Won't happen of course, I expect Milo will play and maybe PVA left side of midfield in front of Mitchell, with Eze and Cahill on the bench.

We'll see.

Wilf hat trick, kiss the Palace badge.

With all the media focus at the moment on his failed move to Arsenal he'd probably score the hat-trick and then kiss the Arsenal badge.

we all know its gonna be 2-0 to the arse but ive put a bet on 3-2 both teams. It means palace gotta score at least 2 tonight.

Gooner mate says 5-0 to them.

I predict that with Luka and McArthur in central midfield we'll give away loads of fouls. Hopefully none of them terminal.

Just seen the two line ups. Best bet tonight is a red card at some point.

I want to be positive with the line up but can’t as I can see the two in the midfield middle being overrun. Tonight would have been a good reason for having the two Mac’s and Luka in the middle of midfield with Zaha and Townsend as the two wide midfielders. Oh well, at least I’m moaning before the match and won’t say anything afterwards now. If we get a result I will come on and apologise though :-)

Looking at our bench tells you everything you need to know about a Roy Hodgson squad... 4 defenders and 2 defensive midfielders...

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Yup, not good enough defensively in the position RH uses him for. Don’t think him and Zaha should play together as they both give the ball away too much. Townsend, Schlupp when fit and even Zaha are stronger midfielders defensively in my opinion?
