Having been a harsh critic am pleased to see some form returning. His link up play is improved and he won everything in the air. We lost that when Ayew came on. Hope he keeps it up
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

true, but someone has to remind him what those two white sticks are for, and the third one that joins them eight foot from the ground. Cascarino was unusually complimentary about Palace last night, but he said of Benteke he does the harder chances better than the easy ones, still got a bit of the yips, but he's out of the trough he was in (post penalty miss and injuries).

A pity it is 4 seasons too late, with many millions wasted on his ridiculous wage with very little in return. It's quite amazing that one financial gamble (big money signing) has held the club back so much. When he took the ball from Luka for that penalty he should have been dropped, but the club had no one in place, such was the shortsightedness of placing all of ones eggs in one basket.

He is useful and I thought he was ok last night. However, a couple of times, he beat a player in the middle of the park but then his control and passing let him down. TBF he does at least look like he is trying to rectify matters.

possibly has improved but theres no way hes got himself back to a consistent level of performance. We've just changed reduced our expectations of him. His touch is horrific. With the ball at his feet the amount of times he looses possession is so frustrating. We need an upgrade. IMO.

Funny how so many players show such an improvement in the last 6 moths of their contract.

Or just accurate.

Or just accurate. Give every player a two year contract reviewed every 12 months. Players have to earn the extensions or get moved on.

He’s improved, but still so frustrating at times. Promising looking attacks break down many times through his bad touch or a poor pass. Example, last night we had a good counter, he knocked the ball out wide Under no pressure and he nearly put the ball up in the second tier of the stand.

Yes that was quite hilarious, he also had a great situation when running forward and everyone with him when he touched the ball to heavily to keep up with it, he is very frustrating but at least he is actually starting to look dangerous in the right areas.

His touch at times is ridiculously heavy. One thing that did please me last night was he kept his persistent silly fouls to a minimum.. I don't agree he is 'returning to form'.. His hold up play should be standard stuff. It's what his job is... I still say his finishing is woeful, has been for some time now and that won't change. The chance in the 1st half he blazed over the bar was a terrible finish.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |
