My view is that we will be on the back foot throughout the game as Man C, pass, pass, pass and it will be a horrible spectacle for us supporters.

I am predicting a defeat today. The only way to beat City is go all out attack. Sadly I suspect a defensive Palace approach.

Following Palace since 25 Feb 1978

Really?
That wasn't how we won two years ago or got a draw last year at the Etihad. Nor was it how Southampton beat them etc. The way to beat Citeh is to be ready to break the press and then attack swiftly and clinically. Unfortunately, we may have the 'quick' part but not the 'clinical'. My heart says a draw but my head tells me that this time Citeh will beat us.

I have never entertained the idea of anything other than a comprehensive and comfortable Man C victory.

I very much expect me NOT to watch the entirety of the game as there is no pleasure in seeing us on the back foot, being totally dominated and witnessing the ball flying past Guaita into the back of the net.Horrific.

For a club like Palace and the ups and downs we've seen over the years, I'm very satisfied with our team, current position and I'm prepared to take the rough with the smooth. Man City are on another level to us, so I will not be to devistated if we give our all and end up losing 4-0. Although with an unexpected draw and getti g the rub of the green I will be delighted. I remember when Charlton fans got angry when they were always mid table under Alan C, they was calling for his head, asking for a manager to take them to the next level. Be careful what you wish for, Palace have some great players, a good manager that knows how to keep us playing in the best league in the world. Long may it continue.

But Willo,

Believe you said the same thing ahead of the Arsenal game. There,we gave a good account of ourselves and got a well deserved point against a very much in form team.
No reason to believe that with Tompkins back to near his best,we could not do the same, given our results at their place last two seasons

Did you watch their game against Brighton? Deserved to win but 1-0 was fair and with Cahill hopefully teaming up with tomkins no reason we can't do another 0-0 and neutrals whining at how dull we make a game.

Cant see us scoring though unless andros decides to score another worldie

Man C have scored in EVERY home game this season in all competitions.

Three years ago Palace ended Manchester City's 18 match winning streak with a goalless draw. History might repeat itself

Miracles do happen, but they don't happen often.
Against Arsenal, we put up a great fight, but Arsenal is not Citeh.
If Citeh hits its stride, and we are below par, then 7-0 is entirely possible, such is the gulf in class between the two teams. But they are not necessarily stronger than when we won there two seasons ago with that incredible strike from Townsend, nor are we weaker. We have to be at our very best.

Our 'Goal difference' was of course adversely affected with the 7-0 defeat.Fingers crossed we don't take another drubbing tonight.
