I am confident we will achieve at least 40 points and I would not bet against Leeds and Newcastle finishing below us..Its quite possible Leeds will finish in the bottom 5 .

40 points won't be required this season, I'm presuming something like 36 pts for survival. I have no idea if that's low or not.

Watching Newcastle tonight they do look awful. We’d definitely have to outdo them for negative, boring football to be well and truly in trouble. That said, we are giving it a go and of course did lose to them! They’ve a tough run of fixtures bar us and potentially Leeds in the next 8 or so games.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Newcastle looked poor last night and Sheffield United consistently struggle but there's only one team that looks so out of their depth when their talisman isn't playing.

Newcastle were calm and organised against us and caught us out late in the match. Against Arsenal they tried to be positive and mix it and got caught out by Aubameyang & co. Do Newcastle have the forward power I don't think so, with us we occasionally do. I don't think RH will persevere with it now 3 games without scoring.

It's difficult to believe that there are 3 worse teams than us, but there are, the league table says so.

We were one of the 4 clubs relegated in a season not long after the inception of the PL.We were relegated on 45 pts in a season when each team played 42 games. W.Ham did go down on 42 pts in a 38 game season.
