Rafa would bore us to death in 3 years time but hed probably have us playing at our limit before then which would be something to actually enjoy for once. Available due to being sacked for failure.

In these times when everything in the world is going to s*** and every time you turn on the tele it’s doom and gloom, I at least have my beloved football team to take my mind off it. Well guess what last night they just made it worse. I get Hodgson when dull efficiency gets the job done, but when it doesn’t then there’s nothing left but a miserable team performance and more doom and gloom afterwards. I am crying out for some enthusiasm, up beat press conferences, belief in the team, something to get excited about. I’ll take any manager out there who can give us that.

Well, no news this morning = bad news. We are not far off being a calendar year since fans we removed from stadiums and football was stopped for a while. In our return, we beat Bournemouth (subsequently relegated) then lost every match until our game when we drew with Spurs. In the new season, we have won 6 matches, two of those (against Southampton and United) were against teams woefully under prepared for the season. So in essence we have beaten a relegated team, a team which will relegated and the 3 teams promoted. Surely, alarm bells MUST be ringing. What do we have to wait for ? A catastrophe like the end of his England reign against Iceland ?

As you mention, the script for this season was written at the end of the last, yet there seems to be no desire from the boardroom to acknowledge and anticipate the Icelandesque farce that we now head towards. I have doubts about our ability to beat Wolves, Fulham, Newcastle, Burnley, and WBA, let alone any of the tougher games from March onwards.

I often wonder how much Steve Parish actually knows about football and whether or not he watches the same games as we do. Surely the biggest difference between the chairman and the rest of us Palace fans is the size of his bank balance as being chairman of a football club doesn't make someone more knowledgeable about the game. He must see what the problem areas are so it would be interesting to know whether he is actively doing something about the problems or is he burying his head in the sand and just hoping for the best

Roy seems to be getting the rub of the green like Pards who outstayed his welcome as manager after a dreadful run of results, luckily for him between seasons. Last seasons run in was worrying, let's hope we are not sliding down the slope again.
