It will be a 4-4-2 unchanged team. We all know how Roy works

What's this nonsense about Kouyate ?

We agree he is not a defender and his inability to pass the ball rules him out of midfield. McArthur has his critics but his work rate is unmatched.

I would ditch Luca, Kouyate and Townsend. Bring back Ward or Clyne and put PVA into midfield with McCarthy and MacArthur or Reidewald - this midfield might be more productive and give the forwards a chance to prove they are not dogsbodies.

Guaita needs a rest, he must be shell shocked by now.

After moping around for a few days feeling fed up about the way our team are setting up lately and were embarrassed by the hammers mid week I finally began to look towards Wolves on Saturday with that good old defiant hope (rather than optimism) that Palace fans have had to develop over the years.

I got home from work, listened to the Press conference and now feel about as fed up as I was mid week!

I hope Roy doesn’t have the same effect on the team!

Subs; Butland, Cahill, Woods, JMac, Luka, McCarthy, Ayew, Tekkers, Bats.

What we WILL get, is same starters v WH.

Like this line up. With Tomkins out injured then this is the central defence I'd prefer to see.

I have a funny feeling Mateta will start.

Hope I'm right.

I also hope he doesn't get weighed down by our expectations. He is carrying quite a burden of responsibility.

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

I think you may be right. As has been pointed out by others we otherwise lacks strength in the air.

You're all kidding yourselves it's Roy we are talking about it will be;

Guatita
Ward. Kouyate, Cahill, Mitchell
Townsend, Milo, MacArthur, Eze
Zaha, Benteke

You just know that..!!

It would have taken him what 4 days digesting the West Ham game and in the same period in watching and observing players in training to see how he can maintain his 4-4-2 formation.

Then after all that period of evaluation he'll come up with the same team, same tired formation and tactics. Then blame the inevitable end result on everyone else rather than taking any responsibility himself..!!

You only need to look at England's return home following losing to Iceland to see quite clearly Roy will never accept any responsibility;

Sound familiar..??

I've just looked at that and, read it, and think it demonstrates the complete opposite of the point you're trying to make.

He was no longer the manager and still sat there and had the bollocks to take the questions.

If Benteke and Townsend are in the starting 11 today, all my respect for Roy Hodgson is gone. I even contemplate switching TV channel to one of the other PL games...so sick of watching the same dross week in week out with a manager making NO effort to change it to the better.
