I don't wish the boy an injury.... But I will be happy not see his winging, sulky, miserable face on the pitch for a while.
Zaha is just turning into a petulant child, constantly complaining.
Ayew in particular, Eze, Jairo and Benteke all got hammered in that game and all of them got up, trotted off and back in their position.
Watch Zaha, sit on the floor and throw his hands in the air, not winning a freekick.
He has flashes of brilliance, but they are few and far between now. Build the team with the decent players we have - Eze is the man, Benteke up fron, and interchange with the new lad and Bats. that is a good forward line.[/quote]

Wow, lockdown taking its toll up t north, Tekkers hasn’t been a good player for 3 years, Bats spends his time offside and pretty indifferent the remaining time. Fingers crossed the new guy gets some playing time . Finally ref Wilf .. Wilf is Wilf that’s what you get, he’s the best we have by a country mile.

I am hoping it is not a serious hammy - otherwise he would have left the pitch at once. Roy said last night he would be assessed on Thursday. I guess it's unlikely he'll be back for Leeds. I so hope he is back for the Weed on Feb 22!

The right place at the right time

I think strikers, especially Palace strikers, are often a little less present unless they're instructed to drop deep. I think Wilf has made a great fist of what is an unnatural position for him. As 1 in 2, plus assists, testifies.

Look at, say, Werner at Chelsea. He's playing in a much better team than Palace but he can vanish in games. A striker who's getting loads of good ball in advanced positions reflects an opposition team that is poorly set up.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Well, the boy Zaha is crocked then.

Looks like we'll find out if any of us were right about how we'll set up without him.

This would be my starting line up as well. It’s got balance. I’d play it as a 4231 as that would allow Clyne and Mitchell a little more freedom.

Just wondered peoples opinions on how we will set up without wilf for the next few games if he is injured. We all know they are vital fixtures, so how will we go about them without out main man?

Just play our new forward, that will do it.

If we start Miliosevic & Kouyate anywhere on the pitch we are doomed. So slow and incapable of stringing a pass. Leeds will decimate us especially if PVA wanders too far upfield.
I hope McArthur is back because he gives 100% every time.
Maybe if Ayew, Eze and Matela hit it off we may have a chance.
I'll be happy with a point.

Will be interesting to see what Roy does.

Will he stick with 442 and bring in benteke/Mateta.

Could go one up front and move eze to no.10 bringing in Townsend on the left.

Could go one up front and bring in another defensive midfielder. Probably kouyate..

Knowing roy if will be an e tra defensive midfielder...

Interesting. I'd be ok with this to see how it works with PVA that high up. Mili has been decent lately so see how that goes. Macca might be better so he can give some cover to Mitchell (if available) but he's only good for about 60-70 minutes so need to sub him off at some point.
Otherwise, let's do this.

Success will lie to you but failure always tells you the truth.

I like this too. I think PvA could do a decent job further forward.

I think anything that doesn't have Townsend in it.

Jesus, he has become one bad player and has become more of a hindrance, which is a real shame.

I imagine Roy will continue with a 442, but I just hope that involves Mateta and perhaps Bats up top together.

We can then have Ayew and Eze out wide, which isn't ideal but can work.

Townsend is our only player who actually puts a shift in when we're trying to win the ball back, far better then people are saying.
