You would hope we'd get the required 8 or 9 points to keep us up.
Fulham gave been excellent tonight but would have to keep this type of form going for the rest of the season.
On the other hand Hodgson presided over a terrible losing run at the end of last season with 8 or so defeats.
And Zaha shows no sign of a return and we know our record without him.
I'm hoping there will still be 3 worse teams.

I cannot see us getting 8 or 9 pts unless we get the likes of Tomkins,Schlupp and Zaha back in the not too distant future.
We cannot defend - we have conceded 9 in the last 5 games and there could have been many more in our net in those games.
When we are so porous and have forwards like Benteke and Batshuayi there is precious little hope.

We could also still qualify for Europe. But I guess you are suggesting we will lose more than we win. You may be right but I tend to be more optimistic and suggest Fulham have more chance of being relegated than us. COYP

I am worried also but my main concern is that Roy doesn’t seem to know what to do and I fear he will just set the team up in exactly the same way against Brighton!

Alas, no matter which way he sets up the team we will succumb to an abject defeat.
Sad to admit but Brighton are a far more accomplished side than us, and will dominate the game.

I really believe when all is said and done we will be ok because we know for certain that players will return soon and we can’t really get any worse than we are now. It would be different if we were West Brom and you know they are already at their max.

They have a manager that is cute in tactics and probably earns half what Roy does. Yes they are accomplished but we have to play 5 across the middle to nullify them and counter attack them

Amid all the gloom, good to have some hope that all is not lost, although have my doubts all the while Hodgson stays in charge.

Fulham have a 3 day gap to Burnley then 3 days to Sheffield United. They will struggle to pick up full points in them.

We should have enough points the bag - prob only need another five BUT if we lose our next two we're in a relegation battle - the gap is still now 11 points even with Fulham winning. Three narrow in midfield please Roy, no 442 - without Zaha we park the bus and pray.

I am finding it challenging constructing a case for us to survive.
The last 2 performances have been deeply concerning.

They have been. But we won the 2 before that.

In my opinion we will lose the next 2 games.

There is a pattern to this season that most teams can get a result or two, but often appear to be totally clapped out for the next one.

Especially us.

At least we have a week's break and should be in better condition to return to the fray.
