Absolutely. Agree, Roy is being paid to do a job and I imagine that job description is simple, keep the club in the division full stop.

Well done Ultras ... can't imagine there'll be a positive reaction on Monday evening but it doesn’t harm to say something. It's unlikely a full Andrex Stadium with Brighton fans pointing and splitting their sides laughing at our toothless set up would provoke a reaction from the team?

I could be wrong of course but my belief is that many of our supporters have been shocked and deeply concerned by our last 2 abject performances and there is genuine concern that we could well get relegated.

Reasonable points. There's obviously a great sense of frustration at our uninspiring, half-hearted performances. Imagine if grounds were open and this protest found its way into the stadium? Banners unfurled, chants of Hodgson Out! Parish Out!? Who knows where it might lead. The management and players ought to take heed. It's easy for them to hide behind an empty stadium, yet it would be counter productive in the long run for any such protest to grow wings. I doubt it would make much a difference to those players whose contracts are up anyway, they already seem to have an eye on the exit door if their lack of effort is anything to go by. Edited by southnorwoodhill (17 Feb 2021 5.24pm) Whether in the ground or not, I think the danger is that if a person or group has a reasonable point (in this case, an apparent lack of effort and heart in recent performances) but they sandwich it between a load of unreasonable points (as listed in my previous), then nobody really gives a s*** what they have to say. The reasonable point they had gets lost, and becomes mistaken for nonsense along the way. Which is a shame, as a lot of good, useful criticisms and ideas get lost that way, and people who ought to have had to face reasonable scrutiny (most of us from time to time in different ways) both want to, and get to, evade it. It would all be easier if we could currently lean over the hoarding at Selhurst and shout 'Luka! Benteke! Batshuyi! Run about a bit you f***ing lazy t***s!'. Now that, is a reasonable point. Yes, I suspect that the letter comes out of a frustration not to be able to air those very sentiments.

Yes, I suspect that the letter comes out of a frustration not to be able to air those very sentiments. I've always been under the impression that most of our players don't really give a flying monkey's about any rivalries even the Brighton games. I can't recall ever seeing them playing with any added enthusiasm which would suggest this and without the crowds I am not really expectant of this. I get the impression the fans are expecting a different performance based on the opposition and am not too sure this affects the players as they would wish. With regards to the 'Ultras', I didn't care too much to dissect what they have said, I am just hoping that the fact they said something might have some affect. As far as I am concerned they could have printed a 30ft long banner with boooooo! written across it.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Absolutely. Until we are relegated, then what? We have been fortunate during the past half dozen seasons or so but I fear lady luck may not so kind in the future.
