Anyone still believing we are safe from relegation, must have missed our two last games. Burnley, worse than us scoring goals away, was two up (could easily have been three) after 10 minutes and vs Leeds we hardly tested their young goalkeeper.
The same attitude at the Amex (and pathetic defending/4-4-2) and we are in for a heavy defeat. Next up - in-form Fulham. Say no more and Wilf still not recovered.

One straw to clutch onto - Newcastle are the one team who might save us they are in free fall too, And Bruce hardly has a strong record in relegation battles. Whatever happens it looks like we’ve got to wait for Wilf to come back to give us a chance to pick up some points and we are into a tough run of games by then. Can see us Newcastle and Fulham taking it to the wire.

39 will probably enough and as I said if we can't get 10 or even 12 points from remaining games then so be it .

I think this depends on when Wilf gets back, we've been pretty hopeless without him.

Newcastle Fulham and Palace to fight for the last place.

The next 6 days will be massive for Palace.
We need 4 points from these games - minimum.
Lose both and I fear us being in deep s***.
4 points and we could be safe.
To be having these thoughts given we are in season 8 in the Prem is utterly ridiculous but we are where we are.
With so many players out of contract maybe relegation isn't the end of the world.

I agree that the next week will be very important for the club. However, whilst I admit to some anxiety about our situation I do believe some posters are displaying extreme pessimism regarding our prospects of survival. Regardless of the result against Brighton, a win against Fulham would put us 10 points clear of the relegation zone with them having 13 games remaining. That would mean they would need to win at least 3 more games than we do and that would be a tough ask, as they have a lot of challenging games to come. Even if we fail to get anything from these next two games, I still believe we will be able to get at least another 6-9 points from our remaining games, so come on you guys start showing some belief in the team. I know we've got lots of issues and major changes will need to occur during the summer but let's secure our status in the PL first. Also let's not have any nonsense about a drop into the Championship being a good thing, it wouldn't be - it would be a disaster and the last thing we want!

I also believe we are missing Schlupp who brings an energetic attacking intent that is so often missing in our play. Sadly, though, it looks as if he will be out for longer than Wilf.

On a positive note, if we win next week we will be 10 points ahead even if we lose on Monday, However again this is papering over the cracks, the real issue is chronic lack of investment in squad recruitment. Even Liverpool today are being accused of the same thing and this is Liverpool. Of course we can’t cope with all of these injuries but this is not the first season that this has happened. I’m praying that we stay up and a close shave with relegation gives the club a kick up the ass and this summer can act as a huge turning point in our clubs fortunes.

I would happily settle for two draws 31 points, with 12 games to go and hopefull Wilf back soon, Fulhams next games are Spurs,Liverpool and Man city not easy points
