Indeed.

Some credit should go to our backline as yet again they were given little time to breathe between attacks from the opposition.Admittedly there were occasions when they brought that upon themselves by poor clearances, but they did a good stopping job.

Cahill must be knackered, he’s already said it’s a different challenge being in defence for Palace rather than Chelsea, but the last two have been non stop.

Awful, just awful.
Positives: another point closer to safety so that we can serve up more of the same next year? Cahill. Guaita. Townsend. The effort.
You wouldn't pay to watch that. One team played football and the other didn't. Not a single shot on target at home against a team fighting relegation.
Why can't Ward pass the ball to someone on his team? Eze: dreadful, but at least he has time to improve and we know he can do much better.
Ayew: What's the point?
When all you've got to come off the bench is McCarthy, you've got problems.
Of course you support your team through thick and thin but you hope to see some skill to admire and you look for excitement. Football is a form of entertainment after all.
To have got into a situation where so many players are out of contract next year does not suggest a well-run club.

Sadly, this is how I see it too. Since football sold itself to the megadosh men this is the reality for smaller clubs like us. IMHO. it's imperative that we retain our PL status for as long as possible if we are going to take our club forward. Yes, you get your teams like Fulham, Norwich, Leeds, Bournemouth etc. who play better football but their longevity in the PL is questionable. Others like those you have mentioned have sunk to levels where one doesn't expect to see them back in the PL for donkey's years.

I want to see our club become an established PL club which will play more progressive football as we become more secure in this league. It will take time. Given my age, I may not be around when that happens, but I want to die knowing that my club is still up there mixing it with the best.

We have 33 points, are still 10 points clear of relegation. None of the teams below us (apart from Baggies) have so far made up any ground on us during this round of matches and judging by the current score of 3-0 to Spurs, Burnley certainly aren't going to either.

Is wanting a shot on target really dreaming too big?

Yes, but I think we are running out of old-school English managers.

We've already had Bruce, Allardyce, Pulis, Warnock, Hodgson.

Does Mourinho belong in the Dinosaur club yet?

What's Barry Fry doing these days?

On the bright side, we kept a clean sheet....just! Roy will sleep well tonight, now he start planning for more of the same against MU.

That was absolutely awful - only positive thing is that us as long suffering fans are not paying/having to go to the ground to watch that "anti football".

Look Fulham are bottom 3 for a reason - we played the game like they were Man City..!!

We didn't even try to win it, just set up not to lose - zero shots on target - apparently we have now reached a new low - Palace have recorded the fewest shots (33) in any calendar month involving 5 games since shot data first recorded in the 2003/2004 season..!!

Royball is killing any offensive/attacking instincts the players have.

Even the BBC couldn't be bothered to listen to what Roy had to say - no doubt would have been the same old nonsense "Fulham are a very good side, we kept our shape and defended very well, very good point" -dah de dah..!!

Our only player of any attacking or creative intent/ability - Eze, substituted for yet another defensive midfielder..!!

Even the commentators and pundits were taking the p@ss out of us..!!

Look I accept we are almost safe for another season - but we are just so woefully under achieving in terms of performance and what this squad could be/do..!!

Roy and his tactics are just stifling the players and you can see week after week, the confidence in terms of any attacking intent is just draining from them.

I dread to think what Man U will do to us on Wednesday..!!

I've resigned myself that I've/we've got to put up with "Royball" and this "anti football" for the rest of the season - but after that things have seriously got to change..!!

Let's presume that this brand of godawful negative s*** football keeps us up this season. Hands up who wants some more next season?

Yep, either you make money because your academy is the best (what did we do wit Wan-Bissaka money?), or your owner is weird enough to gather massive following somewhere in the world (Leicester), or you back up a stadium of 60k every week with massive sales (sorry, but not in Croydon atm). At the moment the best we can hope is "avoid relegation" year-in-year-out. I still hope for "challenge top-7" in the near future, but realistically I do not see how they make that happen. Only option to do that is gamble for it and the failures of Sunderland and Portsmouth should be enough for anyone to avoid that.

My favorite play of the day was when Ayew got the ball out wide, with no defenders near him, and he dribbled it straight over the touchline.

Kouyate was terrible. He can't jump at all, and gave up at least 3 free headers in the box. No idea how one of those didn't end up in the back of the net.

Eze and Mateta may as well sit on the bench until we get a new manager.
