Give me Roy anyday. When he goes I want him to be replaced by another international/trophy winning manager, not some here today gone tomorrow nobody.

Oh, and for Christ’s sake, no more former players.

Peter Taylor,
Steve Kember,
Alan Pardew,
Dowie.

Need I say more?

Raise your sights people.
We might not get Pep or Jose, but surely we can do better than Chris bleedin' Wilder.

Valerian ismail???

Former players who I wouldn't totally dismiss would be Lombardo or Popovic. I haven't been following their careers at all, should have googled them really. They could have gone to sh1t for all I know.

Would only have lombardo if he's bringing mancini with him

Don't know about Mancini for us, but I do understand your sentiments.

Mancini would be great for us because he builds his teams on a solid defence which suits us but he would be expensive and he would likely be asking for a truck load of transfer money too.
One can dream I suppose

I have exactly the same feelings about Rafa. I believe he'd do great for us but again, too expensive

I think the problem with Rafa and a lot of other names that are being mentioned is that they will want control of football matters - particular Transfers in and out. In SP we have a chairman who is very hands on and he is reluctant to give that up

'There is only one thing worse than being a manager, and that is not being manager'.

Oscar Wilder.

If Wilder were to become our manager, would we end up in the Wilderness?

I can't help thinking that his achievements at SU were down to his long association with the club. It gave him that added desire for success.

He has no such life-long links with our club so I still remain unconvinced that he would do for us what some of you believe he could do.

He is no doubt a good coach, but.....

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Doing an incredible job at Barnsley. A team who have underperformed and been towards the bottom end of the Championship (or lower) for what seems like decades.

Anyone who can get a tune out of that team deserves a lot of credit.

Sky Bet have Wilder as favourite for the Celtic job. No idea why beyond availability.
