Just been 'chatting' to Chicago Palace about the weather where he is. Basically it's blooming cold there.

Occurred to me that some of you who contribute on here appear to be in far flung corners of the world (unless your locations are a cover of course).

So, wherever you are 'What's it like there?' Not just the weather, any other interesting stuff you'd like to share? Are you in lockdown? Have you heard of Covid? What's good on TV? etc etc.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

not that far down the road from you POG, today was warm enough for me to sit topless in my garden in Goring
sleeping off my 1st jab (and a few beers)
Am awaiting the re-opening of 'the bull' pub asap.

Good for you, not quite the exotic location I thought we might uncover, but, yes, it has been a great day in these parts. My mind started to wander at the mention of topless in the garden, but I'm alright now.

Don't know the Bull, but for sure we'll all feel better when our locals re-open.

I never clocked you were from Midhurst, there's an A-road from Chichester isn't there, the countryside is bordering on outstanding natural beauty and the colourful cottages of Midhurst are similarly stunning - taught one lesson of basic Maths to a carer in an old people's home (one of my stranger jobs) - she was a practising pagan and scored 4 out of 40 in a basic maths multiple choice (only four options - 25% even if you did it blind) - strange woman. It's unsettled in Hastings, the people are generally stupid Trump supporters, I was socially distancing long before covid - I'm not a snob, far from it, but I have my standards.

There's nothing wrong with being a snob. I only go to the Co-op under cover of darkness. It's Waitrose in daytime.

Midhurst really is quite beautiful & has a VERY healthy assortment of mainly old school boozers.

I invited mrs KD to join me, but she declined.
Being Norn Irish, shes a bit white and needs a gentle introduction to sun, unlike me having been perma-tanned after decades of working outside & a bit of non Brit in the blood from 4 or 5 generations back.

How odd!
Mrs KD always jumps at the chance when I ask her to join me

Actually sunny here for a change in the far West of Ireland. Was yesterday too. The Gardai have closed off all the beaches but people are walking round the barriers. They closed off all parking at places where people might gather. However, I go back to work next week. This area has had the highest Covid rate in Ireland recently, it was the lowest.
I'm going to get pissed up watching the rugby today. Can't wait for England Ireland.

In my 'Neck of the woods' it is overcast but dry and unlike my intellectual capacity quite bright!

Not for years sadly, but used to have friends in Petworth and ventured into the Angel regularly.

Now look, I'm delighted to read the comments some of you have made about the area where I live. But.

I'm sure there are Holmesdalers claiming to be in places like Australia, Korea, China, Spain, US, even as far away as Scotland so I was, probably naively, hoping this thread might pick up some local gossip from places like that.

Nevertheless, when all this unpleasantness outside goes away, maybe one day we can meet up in one of the hostelries round here to mull over all things Palace.
